Golfer Reviews
One of the nicest courses in Ohio
Everything about the course is perfect. Great conditions from the driving range to the greens. Course is definitely worth a few photos during your round.
Good but slow pace
Course is in very good shape. Greens had a great pace and were a touch firm on the day I was playing. Course layout was challenging but very playable with several different tees for all levels.
Biggest issue by far was pace of play. Took 5 hours to get through a solo round with no help from the ranger despite plenty of empty holes in front of the groups that were further ahead
Overall would recommend playing as it's a good course, but just know that it will be a very slow round
Pace of Play Stinks..
Course has the potential to be unbelievable, but seems like they’ve slowly let it go.
Trash left on the course and cans all full, halfway house was closed, pace of play was AWFUL. Took 3 hours to play the front 9. Was so bad that my partner and I called it quits on 13…
Always Solid
One of my favorite courses in Ohio. Layout is awesome and conditions were great.
Pace of play was eh but that is only due to the guys in front of us, not the courses fault.
Always will recommend to anyone.
Challenging, but miserably slow
Course is very strategic and challenging... was my first time and you've got to play with someone who has been around it before. I didn't find it unfairly hard, but I could see a 10 handicap getting destroyed at this place. My gripe was the pace. I drove 80 mins to play it and after 4.5 hours, I was only through 13 holes, so I left. I didn't have time for a 6-6.5 hour round. Took 3 hours to make the turn, and when calling the clubhouse, they acted like they had no idea what a raincheck was... I would have gladly taken one for 9 holes and come back another day. Due to the pace, I couldn't recommend the course. I have no idea how you could possibly play a good round when you have to wait 5 mins over every shot
First time here, absolutely beautiful course. Hole layouts and hazards positions were hard to judge with no yardage book so use gps to help if you dont want to accidentally hit into something you can't see.
Staff was great and best starter I've had.
Only downside was pace of play. Be prepared for about 5 hour rounds of 18
Great Course for the money!
The course is very fun - there’s a lot of water and sand so be prepared and enjoy.
Highly recommend.
This course is maturing beautifully.
They seem to be constantly fine tuning the drainage/irrigation issues a more established course might not have.
I think this course is wonderful with well thought out holes that are beautifully situated.
Suggestion… play some light music in the cart. Not loud enough that it disrupts anyone, but loud enough to drown out the passing semi’s on the adjacent highway.
Great layout, friendly staff, not taken care of
We had a twosome on Sunday afternoon and there is lots to like about the course. The layout is really nice, the staff is friendly and the pace of play was good as we finished in 2:15. Unfortunately, the conditions of the course were less than stellar. Players did not take care of it at all with endless amounts of un-filled divots, ball marks on greens and unraked traps all over. If there could be stronger maintenance and oversight, this could be an excellent course and experience.
Very poorly maintained. Rude staff.
The course was in a very poor condition. Weeds in bunkers. Very slow greens. Poorly maintained fairways. This course used to be a very nice course but this year all 3 times I played, I was very disappointed. I would not go back for a while. They even charge for credit card use fee in addition to the green fee and the cart fee.
Ruined vacation day
I love this course! Everything was great except for pace of play . This happens a lot here . They either need to get more rangers on the course and enforce pace of play or separate tee times more . I played on a Thursday and it took more than 5 hours ! RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! How are you supposed to get into a rhythm and actually play golf waiting 10 minutes in between each shot ? I would never pay full price to play there because of this ! The only way I play is if I get a hot deal on golfnow
