About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways.The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Hidden Creek, hidden gem!
Greens are exceptional. I was surprised how slow they were, but might be because of the time of year, December, as bent grass is usually fast.
Can't wait to play here again because I lost several shots due to unfamiliar with the layout.

Dad and I played this for $28 total! Despite the 47 degree wether, the course was in great shape. I just wish more people fixed their ball marks. Then went to Babes chicken. Burleson is kind of awesome.

Course was in good condition , was cart path only but still enjoyed playing
Great value, fun course
First time playing here, and I was really impressed. Lots of rolling hills and challenging holes where you have to use strategy instead of just banging the ball. Good use of water. Played a round in 2:40.
Only negative is that the carts don't have GPS, but that just makes it more fun/challenging. I'll definitely be driving back down here to play again.

Hidden Creek, more like hidden gem
The course was beautiful. Tee off was at 11:57 and we walked off the 18th at 4:10. The staff was friendly. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The tee boxes were hard as rocks but playable. The only gripe I can have about this course was the fact that they had a 50% surcharge for a rider. All in all I will be back but I will just have my fiancé take her clubs so that way she can hit a few if she gets the itch, and just pay full price.

I've regularly played golf for 5 months and HC is arguably the best course for the VALUE. Beautiful layout, spongy greens, and a staff that takes pride in maintaining an excellent course.

Great Local Course
This is a cumulative review as I have played this course many times. This is a local course for me, but I would definitely drive out of my way to go to it. I would have rated a 4.5 if they had that option, but I will give a generous 5. I would say that my biggest complaint is that the tee boxes need to be watered or something, because several of them are extremely hard, as in you feel like you need a hammer to put in your tee. Other than that, everything else about this course is great. I travel all over playing courses, but I try to make sure I play this course 1-2 times every two weeks. Well worth the money!

A Wonderful Day of Golf!
My first time playing this course and I thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf here! A really nice layout in tremendous condition. The greens were very challenging and in very nice shape. Keeping the ball in the fairway was rewarded. Any other shot was penalized with long rough, or by the nearby out of bounds.
The staff was friendly and efficient. The pro shop was small, but well-stocked. The grill was the same.
I will definitely play here again!

GREAT Value
Got one of the Hot Deals, my son and I played 18 with Cart and small range balls for less than $30 dollars. Course is in good enough shape, not great but not bad.greens still seem new, very soft and spongy. Overall a good value.

Ready to go play again
First time to play this course so I did not know what to expect. Short version, I will go play this course any day of the week. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The clubhouse is fantastic with super friendly staff. We went out early so there were no issues with pace of play. This course has been added to our rotation, we will definitely be here again, and soon.

Great local course
I play here quite often. I find the course challenging and fun to play. The course is in excellent condition considering the end of a hot Texas summer.

Yes, hidden gem in right. Always in great condition at a great price, $26 to walk on weekends.
One correction this course has Bermuda tiff greens not bentgrass.
I forgot to add, Be careful on hole 14. The is a considerable blind spot due to elevation changes. I tee'd off and landed a few feet from the group in front of us. Then on my second hit, the group behind us accidentally did the same.
