Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Fun Course to Play
Hidden Creek is a " Hidden Gem". Course was in very good shape and the greens putted quite well. This is a very
traditional course, with some easy holes and some challenging. All in all, I highly recommend this course!
Mike K., the head pro is a true professional and good guy!
I have two suggestions to improve the overall value of this course. 1. The day I played I saw no marshals monitoring
the pace of play. Waiting on every shot behind a group that has several holes clear in front of them is no fun. 2. They
need yardage stakes on every hole.....white for 150 yds. and red for 100 yds. You can spend a lot of time looking for
the ones situated throughout the fairway, but having stakes would provide an easy reference, and improve the pace
of play.
However, this would not prevent me from going back. It's a good course and fun to play.
Nice but tough
The course was in nice shape. Cart path only so pace of play was slow. I found the layout and the wet conditions extremely tough for my abilities.
Great bang for you buck!
Course is in great shape!! You wont play any other course in the metroplex for this cheap, it was only $32 on a Saturday morning. Due to the low green fee I thought for sure this would be a mediocre course but I was wrong and very surprised how great the condition of the course and greens were. I would recommend the course to anyone
Excellent course
Only played this course two times but am really impressed. Excellent course conditions. Challenging but fair. I will play here often.
Hidden Gem
Nice course off I-35. No noise , could not tell that the interstate was there. Greens are great, moderately fast from tee to green. Fairways good. Staff paired me up with a two some, even though I was five minutes late for tee time and gave me a basket of range balls for warm up.
Great golf environment
Love playing this course I try to play it twice a week at least
Good greens, fairways can be better
Today is the 2nd time we played in 2 weeks.
Good greens as before, grass on the greens were still growing so a bit slow green.
However, the fairway is in bad shape. Lots of bunker edges are eroding. You can see the some of the padding surround it, or small torn-off pieces. Sand are soft and good.
Fairways had lots of high visible weeds that should be been taken care of when they were small.
Fairways needed work but still playable. There were lots of dead / barren spots / patches, especially near the cart path (more than other courses we played).
Decent prices on beers and sodas.
Overall, we like it. Will come back but hope the fairway will improve.
Hidden Creek
All in all this is a pretty nice course. When I played the greens were slow but they rolled true and were in overall good shape. The course was in good shape and a pretty nice layout. First time players could get turned around on some of the holes going to tee boxes but it's nothing to be concerned about. I'm sure I'll return to play this course again.
wow
This is one more the best designed courses you will find. All 18 holes are fair and challenging. Great course for beginners and advanced. Shop jockeys not very friendly. Good range and practice areas .
Hidden Creek
I enjoy playing Hidden Creek as it is one of the best values in DFW. I enjoy the layout of the course and it was in pretty good condition. The greens were in great shape for being winter.
Inconsistent
Although the overall codition of the course were fair, the greens were inconsistent. Slow then fast, bumby on some. Some of the hole placements were also a little odd to us. Overall good value for the money, we will be back.
Hidden Gem
First time playing here and I really enjoyed it. Nice layout and challenging holes throughout. The greens are large but have many undulations and if you're not careful about placement of your approach shots you'll have difficult putts, if you're lucky enough to hold the green.
Great conditions
The course was in great condition, especially taking all the recent rains into consideration. Rate of play was a little slow, but it was 55 degrees, sunny and no wind in January, what do you expect?
Great Course
The course was both challenging and fun. In Great condition with sand, water hazards, and blind shots. A beautiful creek winds throughout the course with gorgeous natural trees and hills. We didn't mind, but all should know that several holes run next to Hwy 35w so there is traffic noise while playing those holes. We look forward to playing this course again, it was a handy just past Burleson along the 35w service road.
7 minute stack...
The course is always well maintained but I won't go back. I quit after 3 holes. There are too many trees and your ball may land dead middle of fairway or green then just roll off. Even with pairing we were stacked four foursomes deep with tee times 7 minutes apart. No Marshall to move things along or suggest moving up a box... It is a close and convienent course but I would rather drive.
Great course for the value
This course has an excellent layout. Challenging and fun at the same time. Definitely recommend Hidden Creek.
Great condition
I play this course often as I live in Burleson. The course was in very good shape, especially the greens. Enjoyed the day, no wait - finished in just over 4 hours.
Quick Enjoyable Round
I took a customer out for a round mid-afternoon and we played it in 3:15 thanks to a courteous foursome in front of us that waived us through as soon as they realized we were on their tail. The greens had been recently plugged but the scarring had pretty much healed.
We found the course challenging from the blue tees and it was a challenging test. If you keep it in the generous fairways (although there are a few narrow holes), you should score well. I loved the fluffy sand that took one miss to get used to.
The value for a course of this caliber is outstanding (weekday) and the golfnow rate was even a couple of dollars less than the senior rates that I would have been able to request.
Features were nice
The course marshals were a joke. More worried about finding golf balls than making sure pace of play and peope respecting course and other players. I've played this course quite a few times before but will NEVER play it again. Its sad when the best part of the round was the cart girl.
