Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Good Challenge
This is a good course if you are looking for a challenge. The greens are slow so one has to be a bit more aggressive when putting.
Very wet, but fun
The group I played with got a hot deal through Golf Now for $10.00 and the day was very wet. We had a blast and can't wait to go back and play this course under better conditions.
First Timer
Greens and overall course was in vary good condition for mid February.
Good condition
this course was in pretty good condition for being the middle of the winter. The Greens put it true and would bite if you hit them.
Enjoyable round
Very nice course. Greens need to be cut but in winter I am guessing the superintendent wants it green instead of fast. If you have a 3 footer you need to hit it like a 8 footer, ok a little exaggeration but you get the point. Fairways snake, dogleg and slightly veer in either direction. Some even are straight. Bunkers are placed in places long hitters have to decide between driver and 3 wood. Challenging course the first time you play it, then second time you can score much better.
Winter Conditions
Certainly winter conditions. Many fairways in very poor condition unrelated to being dormant. Might play again in spring or summer conditions.
Worth the Trip
If you are willing to fight I35, coming from the north, then Hidden Creek is worth the trip.
Course was in good winter shape. The greens ran true, but needed to be cut. They ran vey slow.
Will be back soon.
Great course
I like playing this course it's not to far from where live
A good challenge .
Course in real good condition. Got a great rate from golf now. Greens rolled pure. Staff a bit stiff, but whatever. I recommend this course.
Great Course. Great Value
The course was in great condition. Fairways are becoming dormant, but still hold the ball up nice. The greens were really nice, rained the day before, so pretty slow, but I know they rolled true. Most of the greens are somewhat elevated, so with a windy day choose your clubs wisely.
Course
They need to maintain the course with more detail. Could be very nice. Maybe it's time for a staff shakeup looks like their all to comfortable to care a lot about the course.
Family friendly
I took my son daughter and grandson who don't play often. The staff made us feel welcome , the marshall was attentive and very polite to all. Course was in good shape some of the rough could be cleaned up to help pace of play. Overall a good course .
Almost my best game
Everything was great. I messed up 16th 17th&18th. Coarse in great shape.
Lots of Character
Had an absolute blast. The weather was warm but really windy. Course was in good shape and the greens roll very true. Had a really good time and enjoyed the course because it makes you think a lot about risk/reward. Will definitely be back!!!
Nice Course
PACE OF PLAY WAS EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY PEOPLE AND STAFF. COURSE IS CHALLENGING YET VERY PLAYABLE FOR ANYONE.
Good value for money
This course I give total of 4 stars based on the cost, 19 USD walking rate, for this price the course is very good.
Greens where smooth and ran faster than they looked, bunkers not in the best condition due to full day rain day before I played.
Course should not be compared with 150 USD courses and you will not get that kind of finish on this course, but as mentioned above, great value for money.
Can really recommend a round at this course if in the area.
Hidden creek
Keeps getting better. Greens are fast and true. Wish they'd learn what those rake looking things are for around sand traps.
Will play again.
good bang for your buck
Played on a today afternoon around 130. 20 dollars was a good deal. We didn't have to wait on a single group. Fairways were a bit rough on some holes but that's expected in Texas I suppose. Greens weren't bad. Overall I had a good experience
