Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Not good at this time
Course was in process of having fairways airrated, Course should have been closed during this's event as machinery was in fairway as well as personnel. Not a god experience
Course in really good condition
Hidden Creek is in great condition even after the wettest May on record for our area! Absolutely one of the best values for a round of golf in the Ft Worth area!
Slowest pace ever played
Course was decent however I have never spent 6 hours playing 18 holes. The staff was rude to us because we had booked through GolfNow and kept telling us how they didn't make any money off tee times booked through there.
always good
with all the resent rain I planned on sloshing around...course wasn't that bad. Greens had been airified and were pretty close to completly healed, so they were rolling OK. Good mix of holes and you have to really have to work your way around this place......can't just smash it.
Nice Layout
Nice scenic layout course with lots of trees and the ubiquitous "hidden creek" popping into play on many holes. Greens were a little rough from aeration, but otherwise are nice.
Nice Track and an Excellent Value
Even with all of the recent rain, the course was in very good shape. The course has redesigned a couple of holes which I believe improve the course. The fairways had good grass, the greens rolled true and they have a decent practice area. Accuracy is more important than distance on this course. You need to navigate around the course rather than trying to overpower it.
Better with the course changes
Nice course that is in good shape. It is much better overall than it was a few years ago, Worth playing !
Mike The Pro
Mike the Pro was extremely nice and helpful sending me off the back Nine. I was by myself and he explained my pace of play would be fast enough to be slowing going off the front. Mike the Pro greeted me upon arriving and when I left. Greens rolled true and looked in excellent shape. The rough was not too thick...just right for an 11 handicapper. Fairways are in great shape as well. Played on a Thursday...busy but not miserable. Can't wait to return!!!! Thanks Mike The Pro!
Great course!
Course was in excellent condition, greens were soft and rolled true. Great experience
could be better
Greens were in really good condition. Tee boxes were lousy. Needed a hammer to get a tee into the ground. Fairways were very thin. Didn't like having hit the fairway and finding I had to hit from a tight lie.
great course
The greens and fairways are the best I have seen them
Good Challenge
This is a good course if you are looking for a challenge. The greens are slow so one has to be a bit more aggressive when putting.
Very wet, but fun
The group I played with got a hot deal through Golf Now for $10.00 and the day was very wet. We had a blast and can't wait to go back and play this course under better conditions.
First Timer
Greens and overall course was in vary good condition for mid February.
Good condition
this course was in pretty good condition for being the middle of the winter. The Greens put it true and would bite if you hit them.
Enjoyable round
Very nice course. Greens need to be cut but in winter I am guessing the superintendent wants it green instead of fast. If you have a 3 footer you need to hit it like a 8 footer, ok a little exaggeration but you get the point. Fairways snake, dogleg and slightly veer in either direction. Some even are straight. Bunkers are placed in places long hitters have to decide between driver and 3 wood. Challenging course the first time you play it, then second time you can score much better.
Winter Conditions
Certainly winter conditions. Many fairways in very poor condition unrelated to being dormant. Might play again in spring or summer conditions.
Worth the Trip
If you are willing to fight I35, coming from the north, then Hidden Creek is worth the trip.
Course was in good winter shape. The greens ran true, but needed to be cut. They ran vey slow.
Will be back soon.
