Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Good value for money
This course I give total of 4 stars based on the cost, 19 USD walking rate, for this price the course is very good.
Greens where smooth and ran faster than they looked, bunkers not in the best condition due to full day rain day before I played.
Course should not be compared with 150 USD courses and you will not get that kind of finish on this course, but as mentioned above, great value for money.
Can really recommend a round at this course if in the area.
Hidden creek
Keeps getting better. Greens are fast and true. Wish they'd learn what those rake looking things are for around sand traps.
Will play again.
good bang for your buck
Played on a today afternoon around 130. 20 dollars was a good deal. We didn't have to wait on a single group. Fairways were a bit rough on some holes but that's expected in Texas I suppose. Greens weren't bad. Overall I had a good experience
overall
Coarse was in very good condition. Staff were great.
This course has great features
We always have a great time when playing here the course has everything a golfer is looking for in challenge we will come back as often as we can
Great course
Well kept, fun challenging course, great combination of distances
Hidden Creek
This course has come a long way. It's in great condition a year+ after redesign & improvements. Pace of play needs work.
Outstanding course to play, challenging
Course was outstanding, especially for August in Texas. Greens were suberb, ruff a challenge, tifgt fairways. Loved playing here, especially for the price I paid at Golfnow.
Great course and priced well
A challenging course for any type of golfer. Course was kept well. Will definately be back again.
Bunker Play
The course was in great shape, the greens have been punched a few weeks ago but are recovering well. it was fun and challenging with blind tee shots followed by blind approach shot. All in all the course was fun, even tho I was sandy all day.
Great course layout
This course has become my groups most fun to play . The layout is awesome . Lots of different shaped holes so each hole is more fun than the last . Some really impressive looking holes from the tees . Very well manicured . The staff is always friendly and treats you like they really appreciate us being there !! This course can easily become anyones favorite !!!
Fun Course to Play
New greens are hard and fast, even though they were wet..... but nice. Course layout favors a fade more than a draw... chip shots over lobs... in most cases.
Great time
Had a fantastic golfing experience. Can't wait to play again.
Hidden Gem in Johnson County
Play at this course was challenging and a wonderful experience. The course was in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly.
HC in great shape
Played on a Thursday afternoon. The course is in great shape
Great course at a great value
Had a great experience at Hidden Creek Monday. The course is in good shape with a challenging, but fun layout. We only managed to get in the front nine before the rains came. The course gave us a full credit to comeback. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for great golf at a very affordable price!
Slow slow and hard greens
5 hour round at a 9;15 am start.grees were hard and did not hold very well.
Fun course to challenge you off the tee boxes.
Tee shot locations are challenging on several of the par 4s and par 5s, however the rewards of a good drive on many of them are too great to play anything but the big stick. The greens are in great shape and most boast some kind of slope near pin placements, making for a very challenging day with the putter. Great course for the money.
Decent Course
This is a nice course, but nothing outstanding. One thing I found a little disappointing was the fact that I paid $20 to walk, and that was after a military discount and on a Tuesday. They do a good job of keeping the course well maintained. The greens were in good shape and the fairways as well. The sand bunkers left something to be desired. They are very difficult to hit out of, sand was very hard. I will play this course again, but probably won't be my go-to course.
