Disappointed
Read the reviews prior to booking and was very disappointed in the course conditions. Doesn’t seem people were being honest. The overall conditions was poor, the fairways were dry and little grass. Need to work on irrigation as there was some areas that were green, but most was in terrible shape. The greens were a bright spot. Ran nice with good speed. It was a great value, but not worth the drive for me. You decide
Seeing improvements
Course is in great shape also the upgraded carts are nice and greens are rolling true.

Good course. Good shape
The course was in good shape. Recent rains definitely have helped. Greens were in great shape. Tee boxes were good. A few dirt patches in the fairways but expected with how hot and dry the summer has been. Good hot deal price makes it definitely worth it.
Nice golf course
The course is very fair with greens that are in great shape with true rolls throughout. There is some definite damage to the excessive heat this past summer, but this track is referred to as a links style course, so bare spots here and there are just part of the course and really only come into play off the fairway. The 3 finishing holes offer a great challenge to anyone!
Continues to be excellent
After what has been a brutal summer, Southern Oaks is in good shape. Greens were very good. Conditions were not as dry as I thought they may be. I continue to highly recommend this course.
Great course for the money
Excellent staff and amenities. Texas is hot and dry all over, so hard to blame the course for occasional cracks on the fairways.
Excellent coarse
Love playing this course!! Raised Greens are challenging!!Greens at consistent and fairways are easy to hit good approach shots
Very good course, value and if you're near!
I booked last minute. I hit a few balls to warm up. I tee'd up by myself, and pretty much played without interruption. It is a very good layout, and has lots of challenging holes. If I was closer, I would play more. I happen to be a contractor that had a short job nearby, and this was the winner of the GN app lottery. Course was in good shape, even with the heat. They are doing a great job down there!!
Yardage hard to find!!
Course is in good shape considering the temps the last month. Back nine played much slower than the front but overall not terrible. They removed the yardage markers from the cart paths. On course markers really hard to find. Overall good experience and would def come back, with a range finder!

I have always liked this course. They keep it in great shape and it is fun to play.
