Great Layout
I didn't expect this course (or any for that matter) to be in excellent condition after the winter we just experienced. The course is in prime condition, the fairways are good, the greens are manicured and speed is good. This course is the BESY for practice - and for warming up. The range balls are included in the price - as many as you want to hit. The chipping green is surrounded by large bunkers and again, there are ample balls to practice chipping and bunker shots. There is a large practice putting green and even with 10 or so there, plenty of room to practice putting. The course layout is challenging even though the fairways are wide in most instances. There are multiple fairway bunkers. Water doesn't come into play really unless you hit a very errant slice. Tees are level and in good shape. The beverage cart came around 3 times during the round. There was a large cooler loaded with ice on the way to the 1st tee - and towels in each cart. I believe this is one of the best deals in the area.
Needs some TLC
This course is good layout and very challenging, especially from the back tees. The conditions were fairly poor. Tee boxes need a lot of attention and grooming. The fairways are not well defined from the rough. The greens were very poor overall. I realize all the local area courses are coming out of winter (and the recent "big freeze") but many of these items could be fairly easy to address. One final note...the practice range was set up for "mats only". I'm always amazed at any course (when the premium fees for a "holiday/weekend") are in place and yet, the facility isn't set up for a good practice session.
Spring Break golf
We had over 1.5" of rain earlier in the morning but the course had drained well and the fairways and greens were in good condition.
The wind was 35+ mph and that made the day challenging but overall it was a great time on the course
Can't wait for Spring
Everything was in tip-top shape except for the greens being lightly doctored by the crew recently. This course will be ready for prime-time this year!

Southern Oaks, yes, thanks
This was my 2nd time to play this course. They have a very nice physical layout, with modern brick building’s, pro shop, restaurant and bar, just what a good private club should have. Get there early and take advantage of the free range balls and grab a bite before your round.
The course is in great shape and the pace of play was excellent. I finished 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours, playing 2 balls on several holes when I found myself really by myself on the back 9. When I finished my round, I noticed the parking lot was getting full with the evening dinner crowd showing up! I look forward to playing there again.

Course was in great shape as usual. Hadn't played the course in 2 years but course amenities are remarkable. Great driving range setup, chipping & putting practice areas.

love to play the course, word to the wise, play one tee box up from your normal. this is a long course.
Great time with friends and family
Despite the cold and wind It was a great round. conditions were exceptional considering it had just rained the day before.
