About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Enjoyed Playing
I always enjoy playing at Alsatian. Greens rolled pure, fairways were as green as they can be in Texas during the summer.
Complaint
I tried Tina get a refund because I had a family emergency I needed to attend, and I had a noon tee time and couldn’t get my money back. I talked to a woman who was extremely rude and couldn’t help me.

Excellent course and Staff
Staff was outstanding! The course was in immaculate shape. The greens held well, rolled true, and had perfect grass. The fairways were lush. We will definitely go back to play this course.

Alsatian always provides a comfortable round of golf. Gentle country scenery with typically great course conditions.

One word: PURE!
I’ve played almost every course in San Antonio and I will have to say this easily jumped up to my 2nd favorite course now. The condition (other than the 2nd green in on spot) was absolutely incredibly great. I will be going back very very soon. Shot my lowest round(that helps) here but I truly believe I was able to because of how PURE the greens rolled. No jumps, skips, or random grain turns AND the pace of every green was IMO the exact same. Super consistent course and very green course. Not to mention I ONLY PAID $32 with a cart! Love this place! Give it a try!
Best round in a long time.
Normally I am about an 18 hcp. Today I shot 80. 40 front 40 back. I have never broken 80 but today was a fun day. Was pad with a couple of guys that were about the same level as I am. Very friendly.
