About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Great value for your $$.
Everything you want for a day of golf without any of the crowds you don't.
My favorite course for the $$ in the area.
Worth the drive from San Antonio.
Great fairways and awesome staff
First time playing here so i arrived 45 minutes early. The manager embraced my first experience and treated me to a bucket of range balls. It was great to play on a course with actual water hazards. Everyone on the course was extremely friendly. I'm definitely looking forward to booking future tee times here.
Great course
It's a challenge for me. In good condition. Should be in great shape come spring. Always enjoy playing this course. And friendly staff.
Great course in good shape
Played this course several times . Mostly using Golf Now . Even though it is late winter in south Texas the course was in good shape . Greens were a bit bumpy but consistent. Anytime I shoot sub 80 I am very happy so this course and Golf Now made my day !!
Great course needs better maintenance.
Love the layout. Greens are less than par. Some were so bad they looked like they had sand bunkers in them and a couple different kinds of grass which were all dead. The counter lady was really rude. Acted to busy to care about customer service.
Nice Course at a Reasonable Price
A fun course to play. Course was not crowded, and pace of play was excellent. I've never been seriously delayed on this course. Grass was good for December. Green were overall in very good shape. Fairways were a little long, but wet weather has prevented mowing. Friendly and helpful staff, nice grill to have lunch. Good practice facilities. Bunkers are under repair, but you can tell they are working on them. I always enjoy this course.

Nice course, but needs sand trap overhaul
Nice layout, greens rooked nice. But traps were terrible. Fix that and you are a 4 star. Young lady working the snack bar is doing a good job. Friendly/helpful. Purchased round with a 'Hot Deal' special.
Good Course
The fairways and greens are playing nice. Play was slow but then it was a holiday.
I will play the course again.

They have done a great job improving the course. If your looking for a good course at a good price try this one. I will definitely be back
Fun course
Course is in great shape except for the sand traps. It's my understanding the recent hail storm is the reason for the condition of the sand traps. Fun course well worth the money and long drive. I'll be back soon.
Great Bang for the buck
Facility manager, Laura was friendly and informative. Clubhouse and pro shop were 1st rate. Enjoyed the course layout although I found a lot of trouble not knowing the course. Being a small town course it was in good shape inspite of the bunkers being washed out from the rain. Will go back for sure.

Go FORE it
This course was in great condition. I play a lot of courses in San Antonio so driving out of town to play is always a coin toss. It's been sometime that I've played this course and "time" away has been good. Tee box to greens are in great shape!

Considering the very "Hot" temperatures we are experiencing, the course was in very good condition. Will be back!!!
