Very enjoyable. Greens were excellent. Played on a Saturday morning, played in a threesome completed round in 3 hours

A tournament was going on and the course was in great shape. The greens were the best I've seen in a while. The staff was also exceptional as well. Highly recommended to all levels of players.

Course is in great shape greens are quick. But not ridiculous ball rolls so true .true gem to play.

Play all over but keep coming back here and bringing friends from San antonio. The staff and food are awesome.

Alsatian has been changed to the point I will be coming back. It is great for all levels of golfers including women.

After taking about 15 years off from the game due to family and work this place is a great place to reconnect with the game. The front nine they have made some changes that it can be challenging but also forgiving by allowing a miss hit from the tee box to still be playable with a solid iron strike. The back nine you can see the continuing renovations to the new sections of the course but it does have somewhat narrower fairways with some blind doglegs worked in around the hills and trees. This is a beautiful course and one that I will be back to again and again.

The course was well maintained. The pace was good and the layout of the course made it challenging.

It was a windswept day at Alsatian. A very short course and it was dry, so we got lots of rollout. The greens looked spotty but actually were full, smooth, and were a decent speed. There's no rough really at all. Tight in some places, but with few difficulties overall.

The course offers a number of challenging holes mixed in with relatively simple holes...but each hole has its' own personality. A great course for all skill levels, very well maintained, and greens that roll very smooth. For the price, best in the San Antonio area!

The course was great. With the recent upgrade of the golf cart I can see that they are spending a good amount of investment to get this course going. The greens and the fairways were in much condition compared to the last time I played here.

The course isn't difficult. It just asks for a good shot with a forgiveness on the tee box.

It is worth the trip down to Castroville from San Antonio to play.

First impression was a lasting one. The course improvements were there and construction was not obnoxious. I was paired with another gentleman that plays here all the time and he even said that the course has been improving weekly. New golf carts and improving the course all around. From the looks of it they are trying to make this into a golf AND resort facility. Fairways are wide open. The first 6 or 7 holes has water hazards that can come into play. A couple blind shots into a couple of greens made for some interesting play. The wind was very high today, however; with the guidance of a regular I was able to come out unscathed. Some of the greens need "minor" touch ups, but overall they are extremely playable and fast! Did not see a beverage cart on site, however; every other hole has water on it to keep golfers hydrated. Did make a call at the 9th Tee to order some corn dogs which I think are over priced for a normal corn dog. All in all I will return to play the course.

This course is player friendly. Wide open fairways and not too many green bunkers. Very little terrain to lose a ball.
