About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Challenging tree lined course
This course is always a challenge with its tree-linedlined tight fairways. While the greens seem to be in good condition, unfortunately, it appears most people do not repair the divots in the green, making accurate putting more challenging than it should be. It’s a good course if you want a challenge for course management.
5th of July
Every time I play this course, I am always impressed with the Course and cost. This has become my favorite course in the area. Greens are in good shape for now but if people don’t repair their divots, it will not be soon. I wish they offered a membership.
Good Course - Disinterested Staff
The course is a good value and they have put a nice effort into the clubhouse and the course restrooms. But staff really seemed to not care if we were there or not. Said hello or good morning to several staff and received either no response or a somewhat disinterested response. I will probably play this course again ,but would be much more excited about it if I was made to feel welcome by the staff.
Top course
I enjoyed playing this course. Enough challenge off the tee and around the green. Pay dearly in high rough on errant shots. Greens were rolling true. Played here twice in last week and will play again.
Cedar Crest Golf Course
You can't beat playing this course for the value. Course was in much better condition than 1 year ago, lots of recovery from the December 2022 deep freeze. Green's were very good, a bit slow compared to our usualCourse, but very fair from a play standpoint. This was the second or third time playing here and the 8 of us thought it was a very playable course and we will be back.
Highly Recommend
I haven't played Cedar Crest in many years although I live nearby. I was highly impressed with the condition of the course and degree of challenge. I strongly recommend this course and compliment the staff on the cleanliness of the course as well as the condition. Congratulations to the course staff! Please keep it going!
Nice course
This is a nice course that is fun to play. The greens are decent and the fairways are well maintained.
Long day
My father and I love this course. But lay out the staff as I was so friendly and attentive. Only problem is piece of play Here. Much of the time on my last round had to quit after 15 holes was already 4 hours and 50 minutes into the round and could not complete my round.. This is where a Marshall should be attentive.
