Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Over used
High school teams competition playing course in front of us.
Nobody repaired ball marks. The greens were like mine fields.
The rest of course in good condition.
Friendly staff.
Greens were horrible
Greens had not been cut and I played on Sunday. Pathetic for a course to not cut greens, not alert players to this and still charge high weekend rates.
Greens were not playable.
They had aerated some time ago but the real problem is that they hadn’t mowed it in probably a week+. They literally weren’t playable. They should have provided a warning. The fairways (solid shape) were tighter than the greens. Tee boxes need some work… some uneven lies but you could find a spot to hit from. I’ve previously played the course and not had the same issue.
Green keeper
Had to wait several times while greens were being watered. Poor timing I reckon but overall, great course.
Solid experience
Multiple off-green areas under repair. Greens were difficult to find a true roll putt due to all the divots that have never been repaired. Other than those 2 things, great course layout and staff was very friendly,
Still a good course
Even though it has been hot and dry for most of the summer, the greens are still in great shape and receptive. Nice to see that some overgrown areas are being thinned out and cleaned up, which lends to a better view overall. Some areas in the fairway are also being taken care of. Great to see a course using greens fees to make things better, not just more money. The range is still blah, so maybe that would be next on the list for improvements. Mats and better balls would be a start.
Tee Boxes
The tee boxes were extremely hard. You almost need a hammer to get a tee in the ground.
Great day!
This was the best round I've had here in a while only took 4 hours and course was in great shape.
Cedar Crest is a Gem
Great course, helpful and pleasant staff, great value
Challenging tree lined course
This course is always a challenge with its tree-linedlined tight fairways. While the greens seem to be in good condition, unfortunately, it appears most people do not repair the divots in the green, making accurate putting more challenging than it should be. It’s a good course if you want a challenge for course management.
5th of July
Every time I play this course, I am always impressed with the Course and cost. This has become my favorite course in the area. Greens are in good shape for now but if people don’t repair their divots, it will not be soon. I wish they offered a membership.
Good Course - Disinterested Staff
The course is a good value and they have put a nice effort into the clubhouse and the course restrooms. But staff really seemed to not care if we were there or not. Said hello or good morning to several staff and received either no response or a somewhat disinterested response. I will probably play this course again ,but would be much more excited about it if I was made to feel welcome by the staff.
