About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

too many singles
I like this course, but that day we had a 4 some, then a 2 some, then a single, then us at a 2 some and then another single. They really need to pair people up so that the pace of play improves. We finally had the single join us and the 3 some behind us caught up in less than 1 hole due to us having to wait on the 4 some at every hole. I think the first single was allowed to play through along with the 2 some.
Enjoyable!
One of the most relaxing rounds I've played in many years. Weather perfect. Did not have a golfer in front or behind me all day. Clubhouse staff very nice. A hidden gem for this area. If not for "Hot Deals" on Golfpass, price would have been a bit much. Its also quite a drive from my location in Ft. Walton Beach...
Need better management of tee time starting.
No starter to control tee times. I was forced to play as a single after they let the other two players tee off early. I was not impressed - it was obviously a very slow round for me as I had to continually wait for the groups ahead of me.

We ended up behind a 4 some that were not the best golfers. We decided to skip a hole as they did not offer us to play through, we then ended up behind a single that was keeping up with the group ahead but that was a 5 some. They need to do more to regulate ttimes so that you do not end up with a 5 hour round.

no rangers on course, foursome in front of us refused to allow us to play through. thankfully they only played nine holes. Front nine took 2 hours and 45 minutes. Back nine took 1 hour and 45 minutes
Great Course
First time playing Blackstone and I will be back. Great layout and course in good condition. Staff was friendly pace of play was good.

Had groups of 5 players or more which slowed the pace
Blackstone golf
I live local and Blackstone is one of my favorite courses in the area. The course is always in good shape, people are always friendly, and always a good time. The layout of the course favors accuracy over distance but it is awesome. I love it and play every chance I get.
