Fair course

I like the layout. Tight twisting fairways. Very pretty old growth frees. The course needs some investment as there are many places with little to no grass. That said, for the price point I'm not complaining. Nice to ha e some place affordable to get out and have some fun.

Getting there

The greens at BWB are much better than previously but the fairways still need some work

Still needs work

Staff is trying hard to bring course back. Still needs work but I think it will make it back. They have improved greens that still need work and cleaned a lot of tree limbs and rough area up. Tee boxes still not great. Overall a good day of golf on an extremely hot day. Need to add water coolers to course and kart girl needs to be more regular.

Worst course in the area

This course is the worst in okaloosa, walton, and Santa rosa counties. The group of us play all of the courses in northwest Florida. This course, for the cost of $70, has no warm-up area besides a small putting green. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes look terrible. I have played at this course a few times before (not within last 6mo). Bluewater has gone downhill. This course maybe worth $35-$40 for. Round with the conditions.

Windy weather
Used cart

sometimes you could find grass, even on the greens

Florida is apretty wam state. I've never played a course that didn't have dinking water on the course. Pretty kookoo. I saw 1 ball washer and there were none on the carts.I have my own range finder, so the lack of one on the cart was no big deal. Hard to go to the bathroom as I didn"t see any on the course. I know all of thses things are are minor inconviences. I'vejust grown acustom to them at EVERY other course I've played. I was monitoring the Tee sheet online. Wide open, so I planned to be there at #pm to get their discount. got therec at 2:55 inquiring about the 3pm tee time. The attendant led me to believe there were 4somes stacked up back to back until 3:50 but he could work something out with the starter. The fraudester charged me $70 and sent me to the starter. The starter was just chilling, munching on some fritos as if he had know idea what thestarter told me. Gave me some vague directions about winding thru the neighborhood to get to the 1st tee box. As I played eventually I had 2 different singles play thru me. This is a indicaion that I could've payed $35 and played with another single. The course is barley worth $35 let alone $70. No wonder their tee sheet is wide open.

No good

No grass on tees. Greens had fungus. Fairways were mostly sand. This was one of the worst conditioned courses I've played in my 60 years of playing golf. Pricing was way too high for this course.

Rude Inappropriate Staff

The staff was condescending, rude and acted disgracefully towards my paying teenage kids when they went in for their reservations, calling them names and insulting them. We live in the neighborhood and they've played the course many times. We donated money to help keep the course open. This management is the worst thing to ever happen to our neighborhood.

Blue Water Bay

Price and pace of play were good, The Bay 9 was terrible. Fairways and tee boxes were pretty bare, the greens had more bad spots than grass, no ball washers, and no water to drink. The Marsh 9 was much bettter. Fairways and greens were good as was the character. The course needs more work overall. Water fountain in clubhouse I used to fill my water bottle was not cold.

Not a great course

The staff was very friendly and personal. The course was in terrible condition. Fairways were dead and what wasn’t dead was sand. The greens were covered in sand. It could be a great course with some love going back into the courses.

Friendly Stagf

This course has decent greens but the tee boxes and fairways are sandy with very little grass. The layout is good but even in the fairways it was hitting off sand. Very disappointed based on the price.

Course needs work!

The overall condition of the course was terrible. Many tees and fairways badly need grass. Basic maintenance was lacking, such as leaf and trash removal from traps, more sand and less dirt needed in traps. The greens, while having some bad spots, were in good shape.

Lost a day at the beach 😞

This was one of the worst courses I’ve been to in quite some time it’s as if tobacco Road had an illegitimate child and decided to not care for it.

I don’t normally leave any reviews much less bad ones but this was worth the four minutes to do so.
