Windswept Dunes Golf Course
About
Windswept Dunes Golf Club tumbles across a dramatic landscape covered with white sand dunes accented by lush green fairways. The golf course appeals to players of all skill levels thanks to player-friendly features that are balanced by strategically placed hazards. Although each hole shares the characteristic of being lined with dunes, they each maintain a unique character. The rolling fairways are often wide and generous off the tee and the sand dunes, which stretch from tee too green, are only punishing of the most errant of shots. The approach shots though are as demanding as the tee shots are forgiving. There are numerous bunkers fiercely guarding the large, smooth greens. While the occasional water hazard comes into play, the bunkers are the most challenging element of Windswept Dunes Golf Club.

If not for the greens…
Great layout. It’ll let you bite off as much as you want from 6 sets of tees. The greens were really slow and in poor condition. You’d expect better greens given the green fees. Disappointed.
Great course!
Very friendly staff! Was able to take my 7 yr old son out and had a great day! Course didn’t have a lot of play as it was midday on a Wednesday however it is a great course! Did not use the Driving range and short game areas but they were very large and would be great for practicing!
Fun, Challenging Golf
One of the best kept secrets of the Emerald Coast. Great layout, can be as challenging as you want it based tee box choice. Good condition (thinking will be great as summer sets in), will definitely be back.
Great-Long Course
Great Layout. The greens are the only downfall. Majority of the greens were not rolled and were inconsistent and bumpy. Would have received a complete 5 star rating except for the quality of the greens.
Vacation golf
On vacation to PCB. Our first time at this course. The staff was very friendly. The course was in good shape. Large greens that were challenging. There’s a lot of sand traps that can make it challenging. We would golf there again.
Exceptional Track
One of the best courses I’ve played. Great layout, design and well kept. Over 7200 from the tournament tees, and you need to play well to cover that ground. Large fairways and HUGE greens made this round so much fun. There were at least five tee boxes, so if you don’t play the long ball, the course has your range as well. Would love to play it again if Im ever back in the area
Public Course Near 30A
Really enjoyed the course - very interesting and challenging layout. Great range/putting area for getting warmed up. Staff was incredibly friendly. Wasn’t over crowded so pace of play was good. They could definitely use some rain but course was in great shape in spite of this.
Only minor quibbles I had were the range balls not being included and the golf carts being gas instead of electric.
Nice layout, greens are terrible
For $140 per round having to pay for range balls is kind of ridiculous. The course was a nice layout and challenging but the greens were complete trash. They had about half the greens were covered in grass the rest was dirt. It was basically an auto 2 putt because you could even make a 3 footer because the ball was bouncing all over the place, nothing would stay remotely online. Half the bunkers had rakes in them. Staff was very nice but I would never play here again and would like my money back
Fun round of golf
My brothers were in town so we came and played a round together. The fairways were really nice. My only complaints were the greens didn’t really match the cost to play. I’ve played other courses around that the greens were in much better shape. We would go back but just want to see some improvement. Everything else was top notch.
Needs time
This could be a great course in five years. The greens were immature and a little patchy, obviously early in the spring still, but could have been much better. Course layout is fun, challenging, and played half a club longer just as the staff warned. A little pricey considering the current condition . When this course fills in and matures, I’d love to come back and play again.
Windswept Dunes great course for the price
Had a blast playing Windswept Dunes the other day. Staff was super nice and allowed me to play early. Course has some challenging holes and many tee boxes. Playing the tips would be a really big challenge in the wind. I am 52 and played the emerald tees. It was challenging for me at 6500 yards. Enjoy your day at this fine golf course.
The Best
Played 4 rounds on 4 different courses while vacationing in Panama City Beach, this was the far and away the best.
A Must Play
This is a must when visiting the Destin/Miramar Beach area. The course layout is good and the condition is very consistent. My local playing partners said the greens had been on the slower side, but they were smooth and very consistent. A very good test for all levels. Certainly a great pricing value versus the more predictable choices in the panhandle.
Great shape, huge lightning fast greens, a ton of sand
The course was in good shape, had huge greens, and a ton of sand traps- many in the fairway and most greens were heavily guarded with sand traps. Pace of play was excellent.
Spring 2026
The layout is fun and the greens were fast and true. Well worth the money…
