Windswept Dunes Golf Course

They even delivered beer when purchased through the GPS device. Excellent service!!

So crowded we had to wait 25 minutes after our tee time. Then waited every hole for 9 holes. Took 3 hours and 20 minutes to make the turn.

Location obviously has pricey golf courses. $140 this time. Course is a great layout. Wide fairways but several greens well guarded. Good challenge but playable . They aerified so greens were bumpy. Overall course was in good shape but not sure 140 shape. I will say it’s prolly been raining a lot and I hear this course is usually the nicest in the area. I think playing in not rainy months it’s prolly mint.

Chose to play here because a lot of the local courses had aerification alerts. Well, Windswept just didn’t bother letting anyone know. Bumpy sanded greens. I’m played here several times before and it was pristine. Definitely wasn’t this round.

First time playing, great layout, great condition and friendly staff. Highly recommend this course.

This course is gorgeous. I love the layout, the fairways, and the gigantic undulating greens! I was not prepared to lose so many balls, but the rough is diabolical where the tall grass resides. No beverage cart service, but I stocked up at the top of my round and stopped into the clubhouse for a burger mid round (you can pre order from your cart). The staff was super friendly, which added to the experience. Oh…the range was nice, along with the chipping and putting practice areas. Definitely would like to play again now that I know the layout!

Windswept Dunes is an extremely forgiving course from the tee box, which made it highly enjoyable for me. The greens had just been verti cut which was not optimal; you could still tell the greens would be ultra fun and challenging when optimal conditions. Staff was great and provided background for play. Fun and forgiving design.

My simplicity questions only the value. We stay in Destin and my question is for that price, is it worth the drive to play when there are great courses in same price point or cheaper much closer and my answer would be not worth it and driving less than 15 minutes to play great courses would trump it however if it was priced $89-$115, then o would probably make windswept part of the rotation when visiting the Gulf Coast.

All in all, I would play it again and if with friends or foursome group or golf trip would definitely be inclusive.

Always love to play here when I get the chance. The greens were in good shape with exception of a couple spots under repair. Fairways were nice and tight. Its a long beautiful course.

Overall loved the course range was great. Greens were in good shape. The pace was a little slow even being a 7:50am tee time. We still finished the round in 4.5 hours which I should have expected with 8 minute tee times.

First, I have played this course at least a half-dozen times, and I really like Windswept Dunes. This time, however, the front 9 was receiving routine maintenance and was unplayable. This was not indicated on Golf Now (not sure this is an option), nor were we informed of this when we checked in. If so, I would have opted not to play the course.

I make it a point to play Windswept Dunes, and bring friends/family when we are here. We travel from Indiana and have owned vacation rentals for 25 years in Miramar Beach. This is widely talked about as one of the best courses in the area.

I am very unhappy that my son, who has never played the course, and I had to play the back 9 twice as our 18 holes. The price was greatly discounted, but was still over $100 per person (including taxes and fees). The manager (I presume) brought a Gatorade and 3 beers “for our trouble” when he lead us to hole 10 to restart our round. Based on this, it will be very difficult for me to return and introduce others to this course.

Challenging course in outstanding condition! We caught some thunderstorms at the turn but you’d never know it as the course drains extremely well!

Nice layout and greens were in great condition. Fairways are well maintained and in very good condition . Some tee boxes a little bare . Every one working there was very polite and very friendly. If you’re on vacation it’s a must play !!!

Best overall public course in Florida! Immaculate greens and fairways!

This is a must play if you’re on vacation . We stayed in Rosemary Beach for a week . This course is in fantastic condition. From the driving range to putting green to first tee box . Course was perfect . Greens were running true and ran great . Everyone was great and the ice towels at the end were fantastic. Will be back again. Thank you for a wonderful day ! Hats off to the owners and employees! Thank you !!!!

This was a great course!!!! Wide open fairways but still challenging! We will be back to play for sure!!!
