About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Almost four Stars
This is probably the most majestic course in western FL, eastern AL. My word, pretty much every tee box is elevated above the fairways. A lot of forced carrys over ravines. Tee boxes are thin, rough is terrible in most places, a foot off the fairway and you could be totally unplayable. Greens and areas around the greens are excellent as are the bunkers. Many fairways have a lot of ugly spots. #1 might be the ugliest. You'd have to bump your ball. Friendly staff, excellent snack bar good. Call ahead while playing 'cause everything is made fresh.
Challenging Course
The slope rating does not seem correct from the white tees. There were many parts of the course that are in disrepair. Still a fun, yet challenging round.
Be accurate off tee
It is not so much that the fairways are overly tight, it's that there is almost no forgiveness for being a little off the fairway. Not much of a first cut or rough, just woods. So premium is on containing your drive. Better to be 230 in the fairway than 270 and 5 to 10 yards right or left.
Perfect course
Perfect course, was met at my truck with a cart. Club house was very nice l, didnt try the food but it smelt good. Course has some up and down elevation which is nice and adds a little more challenge. Would highly recommend.

An excellent course . Have played here many times. Greens in great shape. Very challenging with elevation changes. i would highly recommend it.
Great Course
Play this course often. Enough elevation changes to be a challenge, but won’t frustrate the average golfer. Plenty of holes allow you to let the Big Dog eat, and some require a more subtle touch.
