Heather Ridge Golf Course
About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Golfer Reviews
Pace of play
Pace of play was very very slow, we waited on every hole. Greens were in good conditions.
Awful
Called earlier in the week, was told it was totally okay for a guest to come along and ride in my cart, only to show up and they wouldn’t allow it. Guy at front desk didn’t try to help, and staff I spoke too wasn’t around, so I guess I’m SOL. Thanks heather ridge, never gonna golf here again
Good enough to play on occasion
Good course for a below average to medium handicap golfer. Took my 3 year old and he loved it!
Great Value!
Good course and great value. Not long but a bit tight. Good condition and easy to walk.
Played the course many times and will go back many more times.
Challenging Neighborhood Course
I Played 18 holes with my grandson on a beautiful June morning. This is a fine facility which is well run and maintained. It is not long by today’s standards but the land is ingeniously used and tunnels link parts of the layout which has a good variety of holes with some water crossings and a fair number of sand bunkers. The fairways and greens were in good shape for this venue which plays host to many avid golf enthusiasts.
The pace of play was reasonable at just over 4 hours for mostly foursomes on the course that morning.
I played the white tees at around 5600 yards and with a 15 handicap managed a score of 83. My grandson, who is a fine player and can handle most courses from the tips, shot 69 from 5876 yards. He used mostly irons from the back tees as the fairways are threaded between townhouses, single homes and apartment buildings. His 6 iron range is roughly 250. My driver, still with mostly straight hitting, is only around 200 yards. Grandson finished with 2 birdies and grandad with 3, which made it a great day for both of us. Thanks Heather Ridge!
Cancellation Attempt
I am pleased with opportunity to play, but road stoppage on Interstate HWY caused me to not be able to get to course in a timely manner. I called, but my explanation was not accepted. A $140 charge when I attempted to cancel. I understand, but feel as though I could have be given a “rain” check, or a later tee time.
Great course pretty challenging
Course throughs a little of everything at you. They can be alot more attentive to the hundreds of range balls scattered off the right side fairway on hole 1
Awesome Value
This course is not part of an ultra-fancy country club, nonetheless I always have a great round here and tons of FUN. The staff is always helpful & courteous, and there’s always plenty of water/restrooms at every turn. Only negative is that you may have ppl hitting into your fairway on the front 9 since those are rather close, and you’re not allowed to use a driver or woods on the range. Try it out, you’ll have a great round!
Fun Course
Hadn't played Heather Ridge in 25 years. I forgot how nice it is. It's a fun course that isn't overly challenging. It's in great condition and we played 18 in exactly 4 hours.
