Heather Ridge Golf Course

I have played golf for thirty years and I played all over the world. This is no doubt the worst course I ever played. I chose a last minute hot deal to play there and when I arrived in the ghetto I was scared to leave my car in the lot. I went in to check in and my wife was joining me for the day to walk with me. She does not play but walks with me sometimes. I was told that was not allowed. The guy at the front desk looked like he just got out of jail. The course has to be the shortest and worst laid out course in history. They go back and forth and many times I would be on a tee box 20 yards from a green and have balls lane near me. Almost every hole has crappy apartments lining the course and you can hit them on every hole. I will never play there again. Please save yourself the time.

Greens were fast, which I liked, pace was a little slow I was paired with 3 notice golfers 4:45 hours for 18 holes!

Tee boxes and fairways are in good enough shape. Greens are quite soft and there are a ton of previous divots that have gone unaddressed. Played on a Friday and the round would've been 5.5 hours. Had to skip 18 due to t-storms. Our cart was hit on number 9 from a shanked iron off the range. We were almost hit twice on the back 9 standing on different tee boxes. The layout is extremely open and tee shots can easily land near other tee boxes. Overall if the course is slow its good enough for 50 bucks, but good luck on a weekend...

Pace of play was absolutely horrendous. Would not recommend to even a beginner golfer.

Try this shot next time you play here: #3 - pin is in the top left-hand corner 5-6 paces on. My approach landed top left corner of the rough for a very fast and touchy third shot. The green is especially slick on this shelf and runs away from you quickly. Too aggressive, your ball will trickle all the way off the green 50-odd feet away!

So, I practiced the strength of my putt off the green trying to get it to just roll on and release down to the hole for a tap in par...

Course was great.. Pro shop staff super nice. Played VERY slow. We waited to hit every shot on the back nine. The group ahead of us was crawling and a hole and a half behind the group in front of them. We told the ranger and he wasn't much help. Said he just drove by them and didn't notice they were behind.

Twice I've played this course and twice we've marveled at what an unprofessional jerk the marshall is. He just drives around looking for trouble where there isn't any. He balled out the expert in front of us for waiting for the group in front in front of him to clear the green on a short par 4. The dude then smashed his drive right on the green. The ranger drove off in a huff but not before he stopped to tell me my cart was facing the wrong way while we were waiting. Every time we talked to another group they had their own story about the guy. I won't golf here again because of him and also bc it's not a nice enough course to justify their ridiculous prices

Great Course, although extremely busy, greens are very fast. I would like to see it spread out a little bit more so the pace of play is better.

Pushy staff, poor conditions (rough greens, green cloudy pond water, goose poop everywhere), and the houses are wayyy too close to the course (yet they have signs everywhere to remind you that any damage is the player’s fault). Not a good experience.

Friendly staff and a great value makes this an easy recommended course.

Nice municipal course. Small driving range and I didn't like that you had to pay for your golf balls even though you were playing 18 holes. Friendly staff! Nice golf carts!

NOt like paying ten dollars more getting cart by myself. You do this all the time. Why? I golf like 6.00 am. You have plenty of carts. Other guy I not ride with pays only normal rate not ten dollars more. I live on golf course and see many golfers have cart to them selves. I play other courses never have to share cart. Example Green Valley Ranch and Indian Tree in Arvada. Golf course at Heatherridge nothing special about it.

I played golf in Scottsdale for 8 days and mountain courses in Colorado and never have to share cart.

My buddies and I love to play the twilight times after work on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. You can’t beat the value.

The grass is surprisingly well maintained and the course conditions have never been an issue. It’s a basic course, but that’s fine for a weekday round.

It’s nice to have the bar upstairs for a beer afterwards on occasion. Not a bad spot for a football Sunday either.

I would recommend.

Such a great place to play! Not overly long, but really calls for good shots into their greens. Staff is very helpful and conditions are fantastic! I would recommend this course for any level golfer.
