About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Great golf experience!
Great time at this course. Conditions are very nice, greens are challenging and lots of shots are needed. Staff is best around: friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Don't let the length fool you, this course is a test!

Course was fine, Marshall on the other hand was a different story.
I have played this course for years and have been a loyal customer. Over the years I have ran into a particular Marshall that has a bad attitude to say the least. He is never friendly and thinks he owns this course personally. Up until now I have been cordial to him even though he always has a sour attitude towards the players. Yesterday he took it to another level when he approached us on the green and started berating us about parking our carts off the path and under a tree for shade. When we didn't run to the carts to move them (choosing to finish the hole) he became visibly annoyed and claiming we were a hole behind when we had been waiting on almost every tee box the the foursome in front. We didn't engage him and continued with our game. He then made it his "mission" to follow us showing up every other hole making his presence known. Everyone in our group (4 singles) has had similar experiences with this Marshall in the past. Not Heather Ridge's finest hour to say the least. Still I am trying to be fair in my ratings.

Good course, slow play, fast greens
I happened to start right after morning league play, so the front nine played 2.5 hours and the back nine played 1.5 hours.
Heather Ridge is set within a retirement community, so the course is not long, but it's unusually narrow and the greens were very fast on the day I played.
The staff was super nice.
Overall an interesting course that deserves a rematch.

Average Upkeep
The greens aren’t very well maintained and it’s overpriced. Also, as a new golfer I’ve had a few bad experiences with experienced golfers here. They rush you and coach a lot, not allowing you to focus or take your time. Definitely not my favorite place. 3 outta 5 stars is generous.

Course set up and pace of play were horrible
Course is crammed and each hole is so small you cannot use a driver if you hit it decently. The pace of play was horrible - took 5 hours to do 18. People on the course were rude, not letting anyone play through, taking 50 shots each hole and not picking up, and the course is surrounded by hazards and houses making it hard to play. Really disappointed

We had 2 Tee Times. A 7:48 for 2 and the following time for 3. At 7:43 we were at the tee box with no starter there and no other group to be seen in front nor behind us. We started and on the 2nd hole the Marshall drove up to us saying over his radio he found Cart # 1. He then told our 3 some that we should not have left early. ( Then he should have been on the first tee box ) He then told us on the 4th hole we needed to pick up our pace! Our group of 3 was behind us with no one else in sight behind them. We finished our round in under 3 hours (2hr 52 minutes) 18 holes! There is and was no need for that Marshall to say anything to us besides enjoy your round. When I mentioned something afterward at the Pro shop on how we were done already he just shook his head mumbled and kept quiet.
