Great course, nice pace and fair price
I love playing here. First 4 holes are brutally hard, but layouts are amazing. Good placement for the course grillhouse; I believe you pass it at least 3 times and you also pass the main clubhouse at the turn

Too much perpect golf course but petrochemical smell is not good for the health

Not the best.
Came down from the north side of Chicago. Had heard relatively good things, but I guess I should've looked more. This is a Golden Tee golf course set-up. At first it was fun/interesting, but then it was just annoying having to take weird lines off the tee. I may think differently if I play there again, but I don't think I would go out of my way to play here again unless I was asked.

The good and the bad
I really enjoyed the golf at Lost Marsh BUT, I had one issue during my visit! I booked a solo slot here and was told by the starter to ride with one of the other 3 at my tee time. I told him “I’m a solo and not part of that group”. He continued on saying that I need to ride with one of the other three at my tee time. NOT COOL, Especially with the current surges of Covid cases right now! Luckily the guy I rode with was friendly and a chill guy, still rather not ride with a random person during my round of golf. Let’s hope I don’t get sick!

First four holes were exciting and immediately immerses you I to the game . Layout was interesting and keeps you entertained. Great fun!

Challenging
I always lose a lot of balls on this course. It is fun to push the limits.
Bring extra balls
Tough to let er rip on a windy day. Lots of areas to drop on in the drink. I've played the course in the summer and shot well but target golf is a must. Fun course and a reasonable value
The First 4
It's a great course. The first 4 holes are killer, water water everywhere. The course is always in great condition. Greens are fast and true. You definitely get you ett money's worth.

Golf course review
Course was in excellent condition. Tough play but fun ! I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a more exciting course in the area. Prices is right and I like the "specials" for senior citizens .
Outstanding for mid-November
Lost Marsh was in fantastic shape yesterday, including greens, tee boxes, sand (like sugar), and fairways. Weather was a little cool, but playable. The people there are nice, especially Kevin Sherman who is a Pro Shop Manager, and there were people blowing leaves to minimize the chance of losing a ball. In short, they are doing everything right, and it shows.
One minor gripe: The carts will freeze up and force the driver to exit backwards based on a sensor, which is set at least 60 or more yards from the green. It can be a bit annoying, particularly when you don't even think you are anywhere close. Happened to us several times, but we adjusted and stayed on the paths from 100 yards and in.
