Nice course, needs a ranger.
Course is in great condition, got held up by a 3 some teeing off 7 balls every hole for the entire back 9. No ranger til 16 after 5 groups were on one tee.
Poor Course Design
The design of this course isn’t very enjoyable. The first 5 holes are virtually surrounded by water on all sides and other holes only have about 20 yards of space between fairway and OB. Additionally, there are many short par 4s that they make you use irons off the tee by throwing water or rough in at natural driving landing spots. Altogether the course never lets you get in a flow making it one I wouldn’t recommend.
Good, not Great
Nice course and layout. Pace of play was good until we caught up with two very intoxicated and slow players! Wouldn’t have been so bad if the Ranger hadn’t decided to stop and talk and laugh (on two different holes) instead of moving the pace of play along. They, nor the ranger had any regards to the players playing behind them. We ended up having to go around them and skip a hole in order to finish before dark.
Paid for 18, had time for 18, but only played 17!
Great place
Love it each time I play it, if you get past the first five holes without blowing up your score you should have a good round, very challenging.
A Course for real golfers
I love this course. It fits my game perfect. To truly enjoy this course, you need to be a fairway player. The staff is great and always helpful and accommodating.
