Excellence Tound
Had a great time playing the new 18 holes with the wife. Marcus the starter and the staff were friendly and efficient. We loved the experience of playing golf in our great city. A nice improvement can be ensuring that there is a beverage cart on the course, especially since we do not pass the clubhouse during the round. Will definitely play again.
Great to see Jackson Park Golf Course making a comeback
Great work on the golf course, friendly staff, great caddie program. Keep up the good work.
Great Comeback
Jackson Park Golf course is a case study in making a great comeback. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The tee boxes are 100% improved from the past. Fairways and greens are in very good shape. lastly, the young man that caddied for me was excellent. It is time for golfers to put Jackson Park Golf course back on their rotation.
Renovation Not Yet Complete
Only nine holes of 18 are available for play right now as Management completes a major renovation. The 9 holes that are open have been shorten because repairs have yet to be fully completed. When all the work is done in a couple of months, Jackson Park GC should be a great course to play!
Course in great shape
I appreciate the work that has been done and is being done to the golf course. Looking forward to playing the full 18 holes.
Course is not complete
I wish I would’ve known the course was just 9 holes, I would’ve went somewhere else.
Nicely maintained city course
Super friendly staff and relatively wide greens for a city course. The pace can sometimes be slower because it draws a wide range of skill levels, but we always enjoy the round! Note that for later tee times, you might have to return your cart before you finish.
Odd course layout and weird people working there
18 hole course and hole 10 does not coincide with the turn and does not lead you back to the club house, so be prepared with food and water at the start for a long a round. You will not be getting anything after hole 3/4, which is the last time you see the club house before hole 18. They also rob you blind with cart fees. $17 a person, for a single cart, is ridiculous. I pay less at nicer courses out in the suburbs. The pace of play was atrocious for how short the course is. The ranger also refused to do anything about it, admitting “there are groups ahead of you playing for money, so I will not be telling anyone to speed up.” Like what…? Kind of ridiculous.
Interesting experience
There was a festival or concert across the street so it was very noisy. The system was also down, so we couldn’t rent a cart and had to walk the full 18. They pulled the pin on a hole while we were on the approach to it mid-course and it wasn’t even very late or dark yet. Also had people ride on lime scooters through the middle of the course at one point? It was surely an interesting experience…
