Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Awesome layout, fairways in somewhat rough shape but playable. Definitely worth playing at least once for the sawgrass and amen corner holes if you can get it at a decent rate considering the condition.

Pleasantly Surprised!

To be honest, we were not sure what to expect at Tour 18. It is no secret that it has received a lot of criticism for how much they have let the course decline. I heard they had invested a good bit of money into it and had "new management", but you never know til you try it out, so we did. The bottom line--I would definitely go back and play Tour 18. You have to give any course some leeway in February since it's still winter conditions (lots of dead grass and very thin fairways). That said, the greens were excellent. The traps were in good shape. The service was outstanding. The cart kids and the cart girls were super friendly. Everyone that worked there was very intentional and seemed to be quite appreciative that we chose Tour 18 to play. Granted, the fairways and tee boxes are going to need to green up, so hopefully as the weather improves this will happen. If you are looking for a fun layout, with good greens that will challenge you, great customer service, with gorgeous homes surrounding the course, then Tour 18 will pleasantly surprise you. Some of the reviews were unnecessarily harsh in my opinion. Come April, I hope this course will be more lush, but we were very happy and it was worth the cost for us.

Greens OK…but No Fairways!

The greens were ok to good

The fairways and tee boxes were nonexistent! Pretty much just dirt and some mud.

The smallest tee boxes I can remember ever playing.

The course needs an experienced superintendent and greens keeper and a definite upgrade.

The cart paths are in poor shape

The Staff in the pro shop needs some training.

The cart attendant was warm and friendly and very pretty. The dinning room attendant was friendly and attractive.

The buffet lunch was a nice surprise.

The range balls were a plus.

The course is quite a hike unless you live in the Flower Mound area so the aforementioned are significant factors when it come down to returning and the competitive nature of the Course.

Disappointed

This course has good bones, but they are letting the maintenance go.

Great Day

Had a good day. Pace of play was great. It looks like the fairways are ‘coming back’.

Staff were great as always.

Fairways need help

Greens were in great shape and the course layout is awesome as always. The problem were the fairways and some green side dead patches. I was told they were dormant, but that wasn’t the only thing going on with the fairways. Nearly every hole had massive dead spots where you could see no roots just dirt. When you found the fairway you had to move your ball to a small patch of grass. For a course of this caliber and reputation these fairways were unacceptable.

Expensive and poor condition

The course has wonderful potential, but the price paid to play does not stand up to the condition of the fairways.

Way over priced

14 out of 18 greens were in “money worthy”, condition the rest of the course, no bueno.

Great idea and layout can’t override the terrible conditions. Played four years ago and it hasn’t improved, unfortunately. The staff was really nice and did their part, although the “bag boys” weren’t interested in earning tips.

I always wonder at this place what it feels like to own a multi-million-dollar house on a terribly maintained golf course? Why wouldn’t the homeowners support this course? Get investors..etc? Their property values would appreciate significantly.

Don’t waste your money!

This course has gone downhill. It is at best, a $25 muni course and not the $64 off season course it used to be. Most of the traps are washed out and those that aren’t, we’re holding 3 feet of water. Even those that didn’t have water had sand that was mostly rocks or clay. The fairways were a mix of patchy grass and straight dirt for a number of holes. What good is hitting the fairway when it’s just dirt? They are not even trying to resod anything or reseed anything. Just total disregard for the consumer experience. The worst part is they don’t tell you any of this when you check in. They need to find a new owner who will invest in this course or just shut it down. What a complete disaster and joke of a golf course. I can’t believe the PGA would even certify something like this poor excuse for a golf course.
