What once used to be a really nice, well maintained course is now among the worst I’ve seen. As other reviewers have mentioned, the fairways are just hard packed dirt, many of the traps are overgrown & washed out , and the tee boxes are just weeds. What a shame and a waste of an interesting and unique plot of land. The greens were nice and clearly the only aspect of the course that has been maintained. The staff is terrific and I felt bad for them having to explain away the neglect towards the course.

Wait for new management or ownership before playing here.

This used to be one of the nicest courses in the DFW area. The clubhouse and pro shop are still out of this world. The staff is super friendly. But they will not tell you that there are no fairways. They are just dirt. At first glance, I just thought the greens were dormant. They are flat dirt. You can’t hardly hit a driver on any par fours without the fairway, carrying your ball, another 80 yards. The putting greens in bunkers are in pretty good shape. This is a very iconic course. It used to be so Cush. It is just flat awful now. It is not worth the $60 to even play it. The starter on the number one box said they had a pump go down. But that must’ve been last year. I hate to say it. But it’s going to take drastic drastic measures to get this course back in shape. It’s sad, but it’s true.

I was extremely disappointed and had a horrible experience due to the horrific conditions on the entire course. I can’t believe the pro shop didn’t inform us about the poor conditions BEFORE we played. I also can’t believe they are still charging so much to play there. Until they completely repair and/or replace all fairways and most greens, I will not be back.

This is an absolutely awfully conditioned golf course not one fairway has enough grass to be considered a golf hole. This is a disgrace, and deceptive to offer at full price. I deserve a refund from this disaster of a golf course. I can remember this being a very good public fee facility 20 years ago. This continues to be run on a take money from patrons and give them very little for their money. Again this merits a refund!!

The course is in horrible condition, it is clear they do not water the fairways as they are basically all dirt! The greens are less than average condition and the 18th green had a large area of sand in the middle. This is not a course any golfer would enjoy.

Wow - this course is a mess. It is in such bad shape! I realize there was a drought in Texas this year but so many other courses are in really good shape. Seems like they didn’t get any water on the course during the summer and it is burned out. Tee boxes, fairways and driving range are virtually unplayable. If you want people to play the course it really should be heavily discounted.

Might be time for a new management group

They are charging $90 - $100 for a course in awful condition. The guy in the shop said they had a pump go down but it must have gone down back in 2022 because the fairways were gone. Not just thin but totally gone and with winter coming it will only get worse. 100% waste of money this course should be closed. Booked this course through GolfNow which is partially to blame for wasting $100. This course should not be listed as an option.

Fairways were dead and terrible shape, should have been discounted rate due to the conditions of them.

First time playing for my son, last time for me was 7-8 years ago. The good: staff was very friendly and helpful; plenty of cart food/beverage service; fun experience, esp. for my son who hadn’t played it before. The bad: the course is very neglected and needs some care, and i say this giving some grace after the crazy summer we had. Greens were playable and the bright spot of the conditions. But, lots of fairways partially or fully dead/washed out, same with bunkers, crumbling walls/paths, dead landscaping. Looks very tired. They are clearly operating the course on a shoestring maintenance budget, and it shows. Pace of play was lousy, but that’s to be expected out there.

The course layout is great. The greens are in great shape. The problem is ffrom Tee box to fairways. The grass is totally dead. It is a shame they have let this beautiful course get in such poor condition.

It seems like 50% of each fairway is missing grass. It was either dead grass or just dirt. Greens were OK.

Honestly felt like asking for my $$$ back. The fairways were just terrible. It was like hitting on dirt with patches of grass/weeds. Bunkers eother had standing wafer or no sand. Greens were decent but that was the only highlight.

Who ever is running the course doesn't really care it seems. Sad as this course was always a fun one to play from time to time.

Highly recommend not going here until they actually care about providing golfers a quality course to play on.

The harsh summer we had in Texas this year, really ruined all the fairways and tee boxes, it looks as if they were burned. It's going to take the greenskeepers some time to recover all the turf. Wait until they get the turf back before playing.

Had a good day / round. Fairways were in rough shape, but with the weather we have had this summer, it’s no surprise. Pace of play was a little slow again, also no surprise with the nice weather.

Due to the extreme heat and dry conditions grass on the fairways was basically none existent. The greens were in good condition and the dry fairways made for some very long drives. Hopefully recent rain will bring back the grass.

While the idea is a good one, Tour 18 fails to live up to any of the hype it produces. I don’t think I’ve ever played a course and walked away feeling so ripped off as I did here. Not only is the course is horrible condition with practically no green grass (except the greens themselves), but the pace of play was absolutely atrocious. Our round was 5 and 1/2 hours without a ranger or course personnel making any type of intervention. The round did come with a snack but they didn’t have half of the options they said they would and all of our hot dogs were lukewarm at best. Overall I was very unimpressed with Tour18 and won’t be playing there again.
