Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Good Day
Had a good day / round. Fairways were in rough shape, but with the weather we have had this summer, it’s no surprise. Pace of play was a little slow again, also no surprise with the nice weather.
Overall a great day.
Good Day
Good day. Pace of play was a little slow - nice weather will do that.
Poor fairways
Due to the extreme heat and dry conditions grass on the fairways was basically none existent. The greens were in good condition and the dry fairways made for some very long drives. Hopefully recent rain will bring back the grass.
Not even close to worth it.
While the idea is a good one, Tour 18 fails to live up to any of the hype it produces. I don’t think I’ve ever played a course and walked away feeling so ripped off as I did here. Not only is the course is horrible condition with practically no green grass (except the greens themselves), but the pace of play was absolutely atrocious. Our round was 5 and 1/2 hours without a ranger or course personnel making any type of intervention. The round did come with a snack but they didn’t have half of the options they said they would and all of our hot dogs were lukewarm at best. Overall I was very unimpressed with Tour18 and won’t be playing there again.
Stay away, not worth the time or money!!
This course was in horrible condition! The whole course was hard pan and the bunkers were even worse!! The greens were in fair condition but really bumpy!! The price is not worth it right now!! Again, stay away until they can attend to the fairways!! They should at least cut the price in half to play there until they correct the issues!!
Don’t waste your time or money
All,
Please don’t bother playing this course, zero grass it’s all dead except for the greens. Almost eve shot your hitting off just dirt, place has been severely neglected, worse course I’ve seen in years. You would be better off playing if the field with the goat that are adjacent to this course.
Poor shape
Wish I would have known that they’ve not been able to water most of the summer. Approach and greens were in ok shape but fairways were terrible. No grass anywhere and cracks in the earth swallowed two balls that I’m sure are at the center of the earth now
Discounted rate of $80 is still too much for the shape of this course
Now the Fairways?
I’ve played this course a dozen or so times over the last 5 years. Over the last few years the greens were horrible. Then, earlier this season we played it and the greens were in much better shape. It wasn’t worth the $125/round, but it was in better shape. So…when we saw the rate had dropped to $100/round we thought maybe they were realizing an empty course wasn’t such a good thing? We were wrong….the fairways were “un”fairways. Very disappointing….again. We like the people and love the challenge of the course, but if you’re charging premium rates you better have premium conditions.
Fairways were awful.
The greens were fantastic, but the fairways, tees and bunkers were as bad as any course I've ever played. Many areas of the fairways were dirt with matted down grass clippings. I don't expect perfect conditions and like a little brown, firm and fast conditions, but this is beyond that. I like the course and hope it can recover from the tough summer weather.
Burnt Fairways
Everything was fine, but the biggest issue is that the fairways were completely burnt. This made play really bad. The people working the course knew it was bad, the Marshall warned us before we went out. To charge full price for the conditions, is robbery. I will not be going again because of this. Had I known about the issue before, we would not of booked.
Worst fairways ever played on with your quality greens
The tee boxes and fairways are basically dirt. Very very over priced for that and there are no ball cleaners or other amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only saving grace is the layout and the greens. The greens were super challenging and well maintained. Get to play actual breaks. Would not go again for the price until they fix the fairways.
No grass!
Fairways and tee boxes, not a single blade of green grass. Would have been a “nice to know” when booking and prepaying online. Beautiful neighborhood and apparently the folks that live there don’t support the course or play there.
A Marshall talked to us on the first hole and thanked us for being there; said they really need the cash! Truth!
Do not waste your money
Do not I repeat do not waste your money on this course. The fairways are completely dead and it is just hardpan and dirt. They blamed lightning striking the water tower but from what I heard it’s been in this condition for years.
Keep hoping it’ll be different but still the same
What a bummer. Greens were okay-ish compared to previous times I’ve played here, but still not great compared to other courses around the area. The rest of the course looked like it hasn’t been watered in months. Legitimately only dead grass and dirt everywhere you look. It was so sad to see. Can’t believe a course with a layout like this has been so poorly taken care of. $83 per player on a weekday was ridiculously overpriced for the course in its current state. Passed by the Bridlewood golf club on the way up to tour 18 and it looked gorgeous in comparison and probably around the same price or less.
As bad as other reviews say
Saw other negative reviews day before the round and thought they were excessive. Yes, it really is in that bad of shape. The grass wasn’t “dormant,” it was dead. Imagine playing in hardpan from out of the fairway.
Two guys behind us quit mid-round because the “conditions were embarrassing.” $100+ to try to find something resembling grass to hit the next shot, when tracks up the street were just fine. Until they water their course, I wouldn’t play it for free.
Bad maintenance
The Tee boxes and fairways are terrible, for the price paid should be much better
Poor value for conditions
The course cost 135 to play in its current condition it is maybe 50 dolllars. Lots of T boxes were dirt or sand the fairways were burnt up very little grass. The greens were good not great. We did get a hot dog at the turn. The Staff did not want to lower the prices even though they knew the conditions.I understand we have had no rain and been hot but other courses we play in the metroplex are not this bad and a lot cheaper. They made excuse after excuse why course in bad shape DO Not Recommend This Course sad😢
Tour 18
First off I want to start by saying the reviews on this course are very critical and although there is some truth to them they are a little harsh. The fairways are burnt and there is a lot of hard pan but it is not complete dirt like people say. The layout of the course is fantastic and I would like to play come spring time or a time where it hasn’t been 105+ for going on a month and a half. The greens are in tremendous shape.
The biggest downfall for us was not the fairways but the pace of play. It was hot and we teed off early to ensure we finished before it got above 100. The group ahead of us was very slow. Mind you we are not great golfers but were constantly catching them and having to wait 5-10 minutes in every tee box. Easily added over an hour to our round. We would eventually leave with 2 holes to go because it was almost 1pm and it was getting very hot.
Will certainly play again. I hope the fairways are in better condition and the pace is managed better next time.
Disappointed
I know we’re enduring a horrible summer, but I’ve played courses around the Metroplex and have not experienced a course with such terrible fairways. Random patches of green, but 90% of the fairways were burned out.
The greens we’re in fair condition, but that’s was the only upside.
Maybe they decided not to waste the water, and let them burn out, and that’s entirely their call, but maybe make sure potential players booking tee times, know that in advance.
We invited one of our top clients to play, and we regret that decision. Plus the carts were in bad shape, bald tires, broken parts, our dashboard was cracked, and the cooler, had dirty water in it, and few beat up golf balls rolling around in it. Of course we didn’t notice this until we had tee’d off and asked the beverage cart attendants if they had ice so we could chill some drinks, and even they nearly vomited when they looked inside.
Our client played the course about year ago and he could not believe the condition and the state of the carts.
Lesson learned. There are so many options in the DFW area that offer a better golf experience. Even in a blistering summer.
