Tour 18 Dallas

We had a great time playing here. Staff was great and the course was well maintained.

Tour 18 Dallas is in recovery after a minor renovation this past summer. They closed from July to September to address issues with all the greens and turf on some holes. They have done a great job. This course has been through loss of greens over the past several years from well known mismanagement by the superintendents. They may have pulled off a great repair job and if the weather is good in the spring could have one of the best facilities in the area. While I have been playing golf in this county for 46 years, I am convinced they may have been able to turn the conditions around for years to come. Time will tell.

Greens and bunkers have really improved. Front nine pace was really good, back nine backed up. On #8 marshall told us to speed up and when we got to nine we had to wait 5 minutes.. And we waited pretty much every hole on back nine. Marshall needs to learn how to find the real problem. Highly recommended just don't expect to play in 4 hours on a weekday

And available. Please maintain consistent service and course conditions. My buddy really enjoyed his 1st outing on Tour 18.

Played with my 15-yr old son. We had played a couple of years earlier and were less than impressed with the conditions. However. This time around the fairways and greens looked great. Traps were hit or miss as some holes looked less maintained and no rakes due to covid. Got around in 4 hours and had a great time despite the wind and drizzle.

PS. Men’s locker room bathroom needs updated.

Obviously the course layout is amazing with the signature holes from around the nation, but the fairways were extremely tight and the greens were all but unputtable. Played a foursome today with all being 10 handicap or better and combined had 1 birdie. Greens were simply slow and bumpy. May try it again in prime time, but overall, this trip was a disappointment.

This is a great course to take a friend out to for a special occasion. Course was in good shape with the exception of a few bunkers that appeared to be undergoing maintenance. You get range balls with your tee time so you can get warmed up before your round. Biggest gripe was the slow pace of play. My buddy and I got stuck behind two foursomes that seemed to have thought they were in a PGA tournament considering how slow they were. We saw the group in front of us mark every single putt, even if it was a one or two footer. We didn’t see a marshal come out and enforce the pace of play the whole time - the round ended up taking 4 and a half hours. I’ve been here one other time in the past and didn’t have the same experience with slow pace. I may try to come back when temperatures drop to try and avoid slow foursomes, as the course itself is very fun to play. Great hole variety.

The renovation on the course was very good. Pace of play is slow with no Marshalls. Also, it’s a little disappointing that the course doesn’t participate with the GHIN system, so I wouldn’t play here regularly due to not being able to record my scores for handicap purposes. Overall good experience and the condition of the course should improve as the greens mature.
