Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Never disappoints
Bridlewood is in great shape. Greens were top dressed, but very true and quick. Bunkers were playable. Bermuda is hanging on and most of the course was green. Perfect fall weather and a nice south breeze made the course play as it was set up. Pace can be an issue here, but on this friday morning, we played in 3:40. I have played a lot of courses lately, and Bridlewood was in the best shape of all of them. A must visit if you are on the north side of DFW.
Great conditions
The course is overall in great shape right now. Primo greens (quick/rolling well), and plush fairways. Just stay out of that rough.
Nice layout, awful experience
Driving range was horrible. Wet, muddy and no grass. So busy with duffers that people actually playing the course have to wait to warm up. Couldn’t get service in bar. Slow pace. Waiting on every hole. And to top it off we got paired with a know it all who never stopped talking, played his loud music even after we asked him to turn it down and, frankly ruined the round for us. The weather was beautiful, the course is a nice layout, but today was not fun at all!!!!
Play this course
Work the money. Great practice facilities and course was in great condition.
Bunkers
Great layout and forgiving greens. Fairway bunkers were not playable. Some of the fairway bunkers had tall weeds growing in them. Green side bunkers were playable, but were shallow sand. It was difficult to get under the ball. Those just posed as a home field challenge and were playable. The layout was forgiving and plan on playing more often.
Fall has arrived
Perfect weather for a round if golf! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Grounds were sharp and quick. Greens were fast and challenging. Pin placement couldnt have been much tougher. Pace of play bogged down a bit but we were just enjoying the morning so didnt matter much. The bunkers near the greens were really nice and well maintained. Any bunker farther out was not maintained and most were full of water. The marshal summed it up as the course is deceptively difficult with strategically placed obstacles. Had a good round and a great time, will be coming back often!
Play Here!
In town visiting my Dad and we were able to play Bridlewood. Beautiful course! Challenges for all and a course with great fun!
One of my favorites!
Great mix of tough and moderately easy holes! Course is in great shape! Greens are superb!
Bridlewood
Fairways and greens in great conditions, a few bunkers were filled with water due to recent rain. Great course but stay out of the thick rough.
