Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.

The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

nice hazard balance

just the right amount of water, sand and 'surf' to keep it interesting. Most balls off the fairway were easy enough to find.

One of my favorites in the area

Bridlewood is about as solid of a course there is in the area that isn’t private. There’s some construction going on which obviously isn’t Ideal but other than that it’s a nice easy course to get through.

Twilight Golf

Late afternoon tee time and ran out of light unfortunately. Only got to play 12 and started on back 9 because course was crowded. 10 was under construction w a crew working w tractors on the side of the fairway. Bunkers on 1 also empty and under construction. A lot of water around you on the back 9.

There was some short rough but quickly got deep and gnarly. Beyond that junk was water. Stay on the fairway. Several holes had dog legs so bring your range finder or you’ll find trouble. Par 3 were easy to approach and score. Hole 2 plays LONG. Uphill and dog leg. Tough to score. Hole 3 is beautiful. Greens were all in great shape. Recommend and will be back to see the rest.

Great course, good value, fast greens

Very good course with four sets of tees. Teed off at 12:52 and finished at twilight. Pace of play was about 4 hours and 10 minutes. Loved the greens -- fast and true.
