Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Nice Course - Terrible pace
Played a 5 hour round. Apparently there was a group several holes in front that was completely wasted. We took 5 hours to complete our round. We completed 18 in the dark almost. Very disappointing. The course is in excellent shape and it is a great course with nice amenities. They need to do a better job of controlling the pace.
Muddy wet day but still enjoyed this course
We (knowingly) played with extremely wet conditions (severe rain over the past few days) - but the course was open (driving range was closed). The course was in beautiful condition, greens were excellent. Sand traps we full of water, so can't say what they would be like normally. Staff was very friendly.
Good Course but Slow Pace and NO WATER
Couldn't believe that EVERY cooler on the course was out of water. Told the course marshal and cart girl (who was also out of water), but still never saw water before we just quit at 15. We would've planned differently if we'd known they were out and couldn't refill in 4+ hours. Pace was slow which just added to the frustration on this day!
Great course!
I love this golf course and look forward to playing it again. The layout was great. The only drag was they had aerated the greens and the back nine had way too much sand on them. The Marshall told us that was the case. But look forward to playing when they are in great shape! Also, highly recommend trying the BBQ offered in the restaurant.
A Little Disappointing
We got a great deal on this course from Golf Now. The course itself was laid out nicely and the fairways were soft and green, even in the hot Texas summer. The disappointment was when we got to the back nine. Every green was under construction. What made us the most upset is that they didn't tell us. I thought they could have been more honest about it. I even asked the starter if he had any tips for us since it was my first time playing, and he never said anything about the back nine greens being out of commission.
Course is very challenging And in pretty good condition
I found the course to be a good value for the money. The layout is extraordinary and the conditions were above average for this time of year. I found the staff to be very supportive and friendly. The time of play was a little bit slow because of a tournament. The facilities are in good shape. I would recommend playing the Course.
Easy course, needs watering
Typical country club course layout
Not a very hard course, definitely needs to be watered more often.
Greens are dried out and fairways are hard.
Not a bad course for $25
BURGERS ARE AMAZING
Greens
The greens are the slowest I have ever seen here. Dead patches all over. They are the worst I have ever seen them in 10+ years playing here. Not sure what happened. Fairways are in good condition. Hopefully they can get the greens back soon.
Horrible Shape - do they even care?
I usually like this course. It was in such bad shape that I left after nine holes with a decent round going. Greens are unputtable, bare in spots and covered with sand. It’s like that are taking no affirmative steps to get the course in shape. Fairways are rock hard even after tons of rain in last two weeks. Layout is decent and people are friendly, but this track need management to get a greenskeeper and crew on staff that knows how to manage a course and bring it back from winters in Texas.
Unexpected surprise
Drove past this course on the way to Tour 18 and decided to play it after for a 36 hole day, What a pleasure and challenging course compared to Tour 18. Staff from pro shop to the bar were friendly, course was in great shape even with all the rain. Hope to get back to Dallas and play here again. I would highly recommend Bridlewood GC.
Good overall value
Definitely one of the better courses in the area. Appears well maintained. Only complaint is some slow pace of play - although we were in no rush - round was 430-445 hrs. Saw a marshall 1-2 x during the round but no comment made to my party to speed up play.. we couldn't because we were always waiting on the foursome in front of us.
