Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Poor shape
They were punching greens on the day I played, not a good value. Will not go back.
Fast Greens
First time playing this course....overall the course was in great shape for the amount of rain that we have received. The greens were in good shape and fast. The round was longer than I expected...had a group two holes behind. We finished just under 5 hours....
Thank you for the review and so sorry about the slow pace of play. We hope you come back and play again!
Fine if you have a great discount and a full day to play
The course itself was fine. Decent layout. Although, like most courses lined with houses, the scenery was lacking. Unlike, The Tribute, which is nearby and similarly priced, I never found myself looking around and thinking "This is a beautiful course."
The greens were inconsistent on speed and firmness. Chips and pitches from just off the green would hop and stop on one hole, bounce and run away on another. But this may have had to do with the time of day as affected by pace of play.
Pace of play was ridiculously slow. With several groups backed up on each tee. Maybe investing in carts w gps might help. Marshals were not around to speed things up. It was impossible to find a rhythm to the game.
Would I play it again? If I had a full day and the green fee was in the $30 range. This is NOT a $50 or more track. There are far better courses to play for less or or far better to play at the same rate with better amenities.
Hi u313001607,
We greatly appreciate you playing at Bridlewood recently and value your feedback of the course. We are sorry to hear that our course conditions and pace of play disappointed you and can assure you we are doing everything we can to get them back to their normal great conditions. We hope that you will come back to play here soon so that we can provide you with an amazing golfing experience!
Sincerely,
Bridlewood Golf Club Management
Loved playing here again
Mother's Day , with a chance of rain, great pace and great layout and great condition
Hi gmaster58 - Wow! Thank you very much for the 4 star rating! We are happy that you spent Mother's Day at Bridlewood Golf Club and we hope to see you again soon!
Always a pleasure playing Bridlewood
Perfect weather day, got placed in between two tournaments, even at that we got around in 4.
Greens were perfect, you have to hit a good golf shot to hold them, but roll fast and true.
They've worked on some bunkers and white sand is tamped and very playable.
Heard club might get sold to new owner, standards are high so don't lower the bar.
Corey7732872 - Thank you very much for the 5 star rating! We are thrilled to see that you enjoyed a perfect day of golf with beautiful weather.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Good course - but they need to get their mojo back...
For years Bridlewood was one of the top 10 daily fee courses in Dallas. Great conditions, amenties, clubhouse, etc. But as others have mentioned, things have slipped a bit.
The course is in pretty good shape. The upgrade to the bunkers is welcome and long overdue. The biggest problem was pace of play. I'm not sure what happened, but it's now common to have 5 hour round and wait on every shot.
The quality of the range has slipped. Bridlewood used to have a pristine range. Despite the wet spring, the range is threadbare. And at least 30% of the range balls are completely worn. There are some nice areas of the range, but they are reserved for HS golfers. I appreciate Bridlewood's desire to help grow the game, but frustrating for paying customers to hit off a dirt patch while HS kids giggle and flirt on the good turf.
Hopefully they start pumping a bit of money into the course to fix the little things. A decent range/quality range balls and marshall''s controlling pace of pay would help get it back to being a premier course again.
I would still recommend it, but only if you are paying less than $50 for your round. They have some work to do if they want to be a top daily fee course again.
Hi mantan47 - We appreciate you taking the time to write a review about your experience with us.
We are constantly working on course conditions and would love for you to come back and see!
We hope to see you back on the course soon!
Bridlewood 4/22
Course overall was in great shape. 4 stars was due to greens being super slow and ready for a cut/roll. They looked amazing though, very healthy.
Beer cart was pretty lacking in visits, but the hot dogs in the clubhouse are solid.
Will play here again for sure, one of my Dallas favorites.
We are glad to hear that we are one of your favorite Dallas courses! We look forward to seeing you again and appreciate the 4 star review!
Low Budget
I don't know what has happened at this place. The overall condition was "marginal". The range was very poorly maintained. They charge $6.50 for a small sack of the worst range balls I've seen in a very long time. We asked "the pro" and he just shrugged as if he could care less. That response pretty much summed up the entire place and ... they could care less. They now have 5 sets of tees...black, green, blue, white & red. We chose blue, t it was a surprise at each hole to find where the blue sets were located. Several holes only had a single marker...some holes have wood blocks (guess they either don't know they're missing the stone markers...they can't afford to buy replacements...or they could care less)
The bottom line is this course is fine for $30 or so...but no way worth their rack rate.
We are sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations. We would like to speak with you further. Pleas email us at BridlewoodGC@outlook.com.
We look forward to your email.
The range has slipped significantly. It used to be a fantastic practice facility. These days about 30% of the range balls in use are completely worn. The range itself is threadbare and not rotated frequently enough.
This golf course is overrated
This is an objective and honest review. This is not a $90 USD course. We play there on a Saturday. The golf cars are old, and don't have GPS. The fairways and greens are fair, but the bunkers are in bad shape. I was fooled by the 4 start rating avg but believe me, you'll be mad like me if you pay this much for playing here. Staff is friendly but there's no food options, the service car takes too long to go around. We asked if they had rangers looking at golfer's pace of play, they said yes and ensure they were actively telling the players to watch their pace, but that didn't happened. We were slowed down by the group in front of us and the group behind us almost hit us in two different holes, when we told they to calm down because it wasn't our fault, they called us names so we almost got into a fight until we realized it was a group of 65s year old guys! and I wasn't going to fight someone that's my dad's age. The point is, there was nobody there to watch them up or say something. Took us 20 min to close our check, so again they're friendly but understaffed.
I've played in Tour 18, and Coyote Ridge and has been way a better experience. They have GPS, newer cars, and way better amenities.
I booked Bridlewood because I host some friends from out of town but was a total disappointment and I was embarrassed. I book 2 people for $61+ fees, and another one for $90+ fees and I regret it. I should I book at The Tribute at the Colony, they have pretty decent deals, great golf course, good amenities.
So, take my advice, don't play in Bridlewood unless you pay like $40 usd. I'm not wasting my money, so won't come back here anymore.
We are sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations. We would like to speak with your further offline. Please email us at BridlewoodGC@outlook.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Great shape
Play BW quite a bit. The greens and fairways were in real nice shape. Was thrilled at seeing they are finally reworking the bunkers with drainage and fluffy white sands. Always a good course when you snag a Golfnow special.
Thank you very much for the 5 star review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a great time playing at Bridlewood Golf Club. Be sure to come back and see us again soon!
Nice layout
Some hole was too close to a house near. Other than that the course was very good condition
Thank you very much for the 4 star review! We appreciate you taking the time to write a review about your experience with us.
Bridlewood Winter
Marshalls were on the course, but not needed because the course was moving along well. Beverage cart operating on the front and back.
Players appeared to fix divots in fairways and greens. Course in really good condition for the winter.
u000005180492 - Thank you very much for the 5 star review! We are glad to hear that you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Too Slow!
There is really no excuse for a foursome having to wait at every tee box, with multiple groups on some holes.
rdamico - We apologize for the pace of play. We hope you will come back and see us again!
Quiet Day
Staff was friendly. Course in good shape for time of year. We will definitely be back to play again.
Thank you Dennis! We appreciate the review and we look forward to having you back!
Impressive layout
First time playing this course. Played a foursome with friends. A beautiful course that is well maintained. Looking forward to playing Bridlewood again in the near future.
Thank you Kenny! We appreciate your comments and we'd be honored to have you out to play another round soon!
Had a great time
Had a great time playing Bridlewood. Even though the pace was a little slower than what I'm used to, the course was in great shape. The course can be as challenging as you want it to be, depending on the tee box. I would recommend Bridlewood to anyone.
Thank you for your recommendation! It makes us happy to know you had a good time out there and we hope you played well! Come back to see us again soon!
Not a vanilla course
Fun golf course in good condition for a Texas course leaving a hot summer . Greens played great - very consistent. Some bare spots on every hole but to be expected almost everywhere in metroplex. Pace of play was average on a Friday.
Thank you for your review! We're glad you had fun! Please come back to see us again soon!
Thurs PM...not in the office...
Record heat this afternoon...but beats a day in the office. Pace was slow due to a high school tournament in the morning. Condition of the course was surprising good considering we haven't had rain in more than a month.
As they say, a bad day of golf beats a good day at work! We're glad you enjoyed your round and we hope to see you back again soon!
Beautiful track
This was the third time I've played out at Bridlewood, and it seems to be in better shape every time I do!
One of my favorite courses to play in DFW
Thank you for the review! We've been working hard to keep the golf course in good shape all year! We hope to see you back again for a fourth visit!
