Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Best round of golf
Best round of golf I ever played. No one behind or in front of us. Greens are in great shape. The course is in phenomenal shape overall and I shot 75. What else can you ask for?
Could do so much better...
Greens are always heavily sanded. The pace is never regulated and at times unbearable. My biggest issue with this course is their obvious disinterest of singles. I have been paired up easily every time I played this course in the 108 degree heat. However, now that we have hit the good time of year I cannot book a tee time without having someone else to play with. Played this course multiple times a week when no one else was willing to be out there and now they have no need for my business.

Super nice course, greens were well kept. Visiting our children and enjoyed the round

Like this course
Course is fair and interesting. Greens are always in good shape.
We appreciate the feedback! We work tirelessly to ensure our course is in good shape for our golfers. We hope to see you back again!
A perfect storm of issues?
Having read the reviews I was very excited to play Bridlewood. However after taking 5 hours to play on a Monday I was left with a sour taste. The green were covered with so much sand that you could see your footprints. The fairways had standing water in certain areas and tee boxes were missing markers. The twosome ahead of us said they had never seen the course like this. I understand that it is summer in DFW and its prime season for course maintenance for the fall. On a bright note, the staff there is very friendly and seemed to be very attentive when I told them the issues I had. Perhaps playing this course again the outcome may be different.
We apologize for your poor experience at Bridlewood. We work diligently to ensure our course conditions are some of the best in the area. Please contact us at bridlewoodgc@outlook.com. We would like to be sure that next time you leave Bridlewood, you're equally excited to return!
Fun and challenging course
Course was in great shape. The fairways were trimmed perfectly. The greens were very challenging. Inconsistent at times but other than that great course.
We're glad you found our greens to be a bit of a challenge and we want to thank you for the compliments on the course! Please come back soon!
Great Greens
Greens were in excellent shape. Hot and steamy day. Bypass the clubhouse grill. Female staff were terrible and clueless, food was extremely slow, poor service and the sewer was backed up. Place stunk like a septic tank.
Thank you for the review. We're glad you enjoyed the course and the greens! Please contact us at bridlewoodgc@outlook.com to provide us with additional details on the clubhouse grill. We want to ensure every aspect of our facility meets our golfer's standards.
Course was in great condition.
The condition of the course was excellent especially considering not having any rain in the area for some time. Pac of play was slow due to one group but we were finally allowed to play through on the back side.
Not having any rain has made it tough, but we're glad you favored our course conditions! We would love to see you back again soon!
Little disappointed in course condition
$60.00 to play a course that was in fair shape. That green fee is a little on the high side for what my friends and I are willing to pay to play in the summer on a Friday morning. Four or five of the tee boxes were missing tee markers. Greens were in good shape. Fairways not so much. Overall I would not go out of my way to play there again unless I could lower the cost of the green fees. They were asking $90.00 tax included to play if you did not use golfnow.
DFW Favorite
Bridlewood is easily my favorite course to play in North Texas. I frequent the course because of its value and the excellent staff. Greens are always in great condition and well maintained fairways make it a great course even for bogey golfers. Great place to take clients!
Great time
Good challenging course, but open still very playable for not so great golfer
Another round of golf on punched greens
Those punched green seem to be the norm in North DFW lately. Weather was clear and 100 degrees HOT!
Course was challenging from the blues or greens, we got kind of confused with those. They seem to alternate, but that was never explained at the starting tee. Fairways were in perfect condition, greens punched and sanded. I would give it a week or two to grow in.
Always a fan of Bridlewood, thanks for the great deal.
Course has enough challenges, which makes it intriguing and fun.
Overall a great time. Cart girls very friendly and professional.
Fix the greens Or Lower The Price
My only complaint about this course is the greens. Always the greens. The typical response I get from this comment is "well they were worse 3 years ago". I can go to a handful of other course (which I do on a regular basis) for a cheaper price and find greens that putt truer than Bridlewood's. I will say the fairways and greenside cuts are perfect right now. The ball sits up nice and high allowing you to get plenty of spin on the ball. Hole #2 is an excellent eagle opportunity (just don't try to stop the ball on the green unless you have pro-level spin). Anyway, great course, they just need new greens. Something that putts truer than the greens now (think about Lantana, Denton Country Club, Fossil Creek, TPC Las Colinas, etc).
Greens Just Punched
The Greens at Bridlewood have just been punched.
Bumpy sandy greens await you for the next week or so.

Great layout but hard greens
I have played this course before and it was in great condition. It played well and the greens rolled true. The last time I played was right after the DFW area had torrential rains. The fairways and tee boxes were very soft and lush however the greens were hard as a rock. You would hit a wedge pin high and it would roll out 20+ feet. Usually playing in the Texas summer you don't expect soft greens but I haven't played greens this hard in a long time. I would recommend anyone in the area play a round on this course but I hope they figure out how to soften the green in the near future.
Pleasant round of golf
It's worth making the drive to Flower Mound to play Bridlewood. Be aware of tee marker placement. Large tee boxes can lengthen or shorten the hole dramatically. Huge greens! So, be prepared for some 45-60 foot putts. Play well!!
Great shape
This is the best shape I have seen this course in, the spring rains really helped. Great greens and very fast. On a few holes they need to catch up on mowing the extreme rough as it makes it impossible to find a ball on a badly missed fairway (naturally just for my playing partners). Overall a good value and a fair test.
Great condition...fast greens
Bridlewood is in the best shape I've ever seen it. However, the greens are unbelievably fast. Great course and well worth the money.
Hit it straight!
stay in fairways you have a chance get off fairways good luck! Great course! very well laid out.
Thank you for the review and the kind words! We're glad you had a great time and we hope you come back to see us many more times!
