Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Great layout but hard greens
I have played this course before and it was in great condition. It played well and the greens rolled true. The last time I played was right after the DFW area had torrential rains. The fairways and tee boxes were very soft and lush however the greens were hard as a rock. You would hit a wedge pin high and it would roll out 20+ feet. Usually playing in the Texas summer you don't expect soft greens but I haven't played greens this hard in a long time. I would recommend anyone in the area play a round on this course but I hope they figure out how to soften the green in the near future.
Pleasant round of golf
It's worth making the drive to Flower Mound to play Bridlewood. Be aware of tee marker placement. Large tee boxes can lengthen or shorten the hole dramatically. Huge greens! So, be prepared for some 45-60 foot putts. Play well!!
Great shape
This is the best shape I have seen this course in, the spring rains really helped. Great greens and very fast. On a few holes they need to catch up on mowing the extreme rough as it makes it impossible to find a ball on a badly missed fairway (naturally just for my playing partners). Overall a good value and a fair test.
Great condition...fast greens
Bridlewood is in the best shape I've ever seen it. However, the greens are unbelievably fast. Great course and well worth the money.
Hit it straight!
stay in fairways you have a chance get off fairways good luck! Great course! very well laid out.
Bunkers need some serious work
Played 18 holes in 4 hours. Course condition was fair. Greens were hard so hit one less club and expect run out. Bunkers are atrocious. No reason for it other than neglect. Looks like they are mowing and moving tee markers and hole locations. Saw workers on tee boxes filling in divots with sand. Someone needs to bust up the hard packed sand in the bunkers. Some are like the cart path. I know they are getting a lot of play because other courses in the area are underwater but if you want people to come back when the other courses open back up, take advantage and maintain the course.
Great Shape
Not flooded! Rain has really helped. Course in great shape. I have two issues: 1. Sand in the Bunkers differ from hole to hole. Including hardpan in some. 2. Greens are hard despite all the rain. Fired at several back pins hit on the green and rolled into back sand traps.
Bridle wood fishing and golf club
Played behind the worlds slowest 3 some in history of golf no attempt by Marshall who passed twice to do anything about it. Course had excellent greens everything else was poorly maintained sand at the bottom of bunkers rocks or lining exposed natural areas ridiculous lajkes weedy and trashy. People fishing on lakes with equipment spread out on golf course 3 different holes hitting over people fishing. Parking lot trashed and water standing every where.
18 years
I've been playing Bridlewood for 18 years, love the course. A little pricie but the only course that drains well in the DFW area.
Great course
This is a very challenging course , it was very well maintained. Only issue we had was the cart did not work properly but the staff replaced it after the 2 hole .
Tough to judge the course - too much rain in DFW
I should not have expected too much given the amount of rain in the last month combined with the fact that this was the first "sunny" day in quite some time. I tried to play as a single, teeing off at 11:10am. The course was packed and extremely water logged. Given the slow play and long conditions I chose to cut my losses and call the round at the turn. I play Bridlewood quite often and usually enjoy my experience, but the first non rain day in over a month is probably not a good day to judge the course. All in all I would say the course probably played to the best of their capability given demand and conditions.
Bridlewood and Noahs Arc.
Course was cart path only due to heavy water conditions. Fairways were sloppy due to moisture and bunkers were washed out and had standing water. Not the staffs fault, just the incredible anti-golf weather we have been having in North Texas.
SLOW, but a good course
It took over 5 1/2 hours to play 18. It was without a doubt the slowest course I have ever played on. No one would let anyone play through and there was a line of 3 groups waiting on the first tee. The course was great though. Even with all the heavy rain it was a great course. the greens rolled well and the fairways were in good shape. Ill be back and hopefully they can get some faster players.
Great Condition
The greens are improving and course is in overall great condition.
Cant wait to go back!
Too wet! Should have been closed.
There was standing water on every hole and every sand trap was full of water. I was forced to play or lose my money. The course should have been closed. A refund is definitely in order. I look to hear from you soon. Don't disappoint your members by only taking money and not doing the right thing when the need arises.
Thank you!
Good Time Great for the money
Great deal. Great course. Great value. I will return.
great condition for early spring golf
great pace of play for Saturday morning; couple bunkers need work, but all in all, in great shape
Great Course
The course was very crowded for a Tuesday. We got stuck behind a very slow group of 3 and ended up playing our round in well over 5 hours. Other than the pace of play, the course was very well maintained. Very nice fairways and tee boxes. The greens were a little slow. Will definitely go back and play again.
Great time
Great course. Difficult greens. We played quick and had fun.
Slow greens!
I've played Bridlewood many times and the greens have always been very well kept with plenty of speed. Today's round was not as enjoyable since the greens were very slow and grainy, which is really shocking for this golf course. Hope the next time I come out is a better experience.
