Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Good course I have played there several times before.
Issue: Nowhere in the advertisement or my E-mail from GolfNow indicated that the special was for 9 holes only. We found out when we were teeing off from the starter. The person at the front desk did not even tell us. Four other groups had the same issue that had tee times close to ours (not knowing it was for 9 holes only). The person in the pro-shop was very dismissive about the issue. He says it happens all the time people not kowing it was for 9 holes. I asked him to show me where it says nine holes only and he could not find it on our e-mail. We then had to pay the full amount to play 18 holes. Was not a fun way to start the day off. The golf course and GolfNow need to make it clearer.
We had been looking forward to finally getting to play Bridlewood
We had been looking forward to finally getting to play Bridlewood but was a tad disappointed that holes 1-6 had wet sand on the greens. But other than that we had a wonderful time and look forward to getting back when things are up to par!
Bridlewood in good shape
The course was in very good shape considering the heat at this time of year. The greens has been punched about one - two weeks earlier. The holes were almost covered and really didn't affect play. This week the greens should be back to normal. Always a good time at this course.
fantastic course
really enjoyed playing this course. great staff and fantastic course. greens were in wonderful shape.
Greens were horrible
The greens had been punched but not filled and it was like playing Plinko. They let a 5 player group ahead of our 2 player group so play was slow. We were forced to skip holes to play through. Good thing we got a good deal on this round because it was not even worth the money we paid.
Great course
The course was in great shape. The fairways where easy to hit off of and the greens held the chip shops. The greens were plugged and over sanded so we counted puts that rimed the holes as the ball direction could easy move due to the plugs. The staff was very friendly.
Bridlewood .... PLAY IT !
Great course for any level. Super friendly and accommodating staff both on the course and in the clubhouse. The offer deals on line at several locations making it well worth the money. I played on a Thursday morning for $29 through a Golf Now offer. I can't wait to go back!
This course has a great staff
Good course, friendly staff. We played when they were punching the greens on the back nine, so we played the front twice and they gave us each a free round we could use at another time, that makes me want to come back, they care about their customers.
Golf Now listing - Bridlewood
Golf Now listed this tee time and price at a discounted rate so we took it. So did several others in the club house that morning - only to find it was a nine hole special. The pro shop took care of us only after all of us consistently said it was not written on the web site nor the e-mail confirmation, but they made us pay more to play 18. It felt like a "bait and switch" tactic that makes me a little more leery of using Golfnow in the future. We don't need that frustration at 7:15 am.
Once again New Mgt and not connected with customer and starter
Booked tee time : 11:00 finally started at 11:30
Starter was Great Cart Girl Great.
Front office club should have done something
No Rangers to speed up play
With all the thought of faster play they are not hearing it.
Again can be a Great Track with the proper Mgt.
Over Book and over paid.
Deceptive pricing policy
We arrived at the course at 7:00 AM planning on playing 18 holes. We were informed that the $39 rate (approximately half the regular of $85) was for nine holes only. We would not have booked the course had we know it was for only nine holes. The desk person taking our money said that we should have read the FINE print. The marshal on the first hole told us about 50% of the people don't know the rate is for nine holes only. Their special is a VERY DECEPTIVE POLICY.
Great course
Excellent condition and great place to play. Country club like layout.
Excellently maintained. Great layout.
Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Course was in excellent shape. Greens were lightning fast and hard to hold.
Loved the early bird breakfast special.
Course was in great condition and beautiful. Looking forward to playing there again. One of my best rounds.
Great Golf Course
This golf course offers a beautiful setting, and a challenging course. I just moved to the DFW area and I believe I have found my course .
Played at Bridlewood to celebrate my birthday
This was the perfect course to play a celebratory round of golf. We had an 8:52 am tee time and arrived early enough for breakfast. To my surprise, the grille served a very good breakfast. It didn't hurt that they had a great bar and restaurant area. The course was in excellent condition and reminded us of a more tropical, green lush location. There was enough sand and water to make it interesting. The greens were fast and challenging with undulating movement. I did get a couple of GREAT putts in though. As we approached the 9th we called in for lunch and it was ready when we got there. Great food and more than filled us up. Love that the beverage cart is a full bar. Have a Bloody Mary if you are there early...or any time of the day!
Turned away
I signed up the $29 breakfast deal which did not state only nine holes which really hacked me off to get up at 5:30am to play only to show up and get told it was misprint
I won't go back to Bridlewood they could of honored it since they knew I wasn't the only one confused other golfers had done the same thing
Nice course, friendly staff, terrible golf carts
Course is wide open, player friendly, and well maintained. I played on a weekday afternoon, and pace wasn't too big of a problem but on a busier day I could imagine it would get backed up because on a few holes the pairing ahead of me was waiting when I approached. The starter was very friendly and kicked off the round in good spirits. I can't believe I am writing this but the golf carts made the day difficult. Had to switch after nine because the first golf cart died. Got in the second and had to figure out after not moving on several occasions, that I had to hold the gas just in the right position to move. Even worse the brakes were sooooooo touchy all around the course the screech of carts stopping could be herd, and if I was a bit older do not think my neck could have handled it. Got a good deal of Golf now, but did not think it was worth the standard green fees.
One of the best courses I have played in the DFW area.
The staff was very friendly and the practice facility very nice. The course was outstanding! From the fairways to the greens, the course was almost perfect. The greens are fast and roll true. A true pleasure to play.
Fabulous course
The $85 green fee is worth it for this course. I play it 2 or 3 times a year and enjoy it every time. The greens happen to be in spectacular condition, very firm and quick. The fairways are generous, but still require some accuracy. You can't find a better value in the DFW area.
