Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course
About
The old Pecan Valley muni has evolved over the years as the successful culmination of work between the Army Corps of Engineer, the city of Fort Worth, and the Tarrant County Water Control District. When the city sold the old Worth Hills Golf Course to Texas Christian University, they were able to fund a deal to buy the 27-hole Benbrook Municipal below Lake Benbrook.
The Hills Course was rounded out in 1981 by Dave Bennett, who completed the addition to supplement this shorter, more wide-open course. The course is less lengthy now but water comes into play often, including the 375-yard 2nd hole that doglegs left around water.

Great mini pal course
Course in good shape and decent value for the money but a lot of bare spots even in the fairway.
My daughter is learning and I told the marshal that on the first tee. He put a twosome behind us and then drove up to our he first green to tell us she was t moving fast enough. Her ball was up there with everyone else’s but I had her pick it up anyway.
The guy was a jerk about it. I leave been playing golf for almost 40 years and this was the worst marshal I’ve ever run across. He wouldn’t listen to me and acted like he would pull us from the course. I will not go here again.
Nice course for the money
I like this course for the money. The greens are a bit bumpy but it's early April so they will most likely get better as the grass fills in. Pace of play on 4/7/23 was pretty slow. They really need a marshal on the Hills course as the group in front of us teed of nearly 15 minutes late.
Still a fun course for the money. I will play there again.
Awesome condition, but large group on tee box
At our tee time there was a group of 8 on the first tee box, so started on the back 9 first. Besides that the course was in spectacular condition and a great play.
Very Fun Course!
This course (the hills) will challenge you but will still play for a fun time for beginners and you shouldn’t lose too many balls!
The fairways are nice and open and the pace of play is always quick whenever I’ve been on Saturdays.
The staff is very friendly and always accommodating to any concerns.
Carts are reliable and have never quit out on me.
Out of the 7-8 times I’ve played this course I’ve always felt the flag locations have been fair besides one time on one hole.
Recommend this course for anyone looking to have a fun relaxing experience.
Monday OverBook
Nice course but was very very overbooked. After almost 3 hours of very very slow play I left after hole# 10. Would have took around 5.5 hours for 18 holes. Every hole and fairway had people on it. Impossible to play through. Finally just gave up after hole 10 and went home.
Course play
They over booked the course the pace was terrible it took us 4 1/2 hours to play. It will be awhile before i play that course again.
Somewhat pricey
The course was OK. The grass is dead because its winter. However, the price we paid I felt was a little high. The staff was somewhat rude when my son who is 16 wanted a cart with his friend. They stated you have to be 18 to drive a cart on the course.
Pecan Valley-Hills
I hadn't played here in several years. I had a great time. The course is in good condition considering it's winter and all is dormant. The greens rolled well, although a bit slow at times. Interesting holes as well. Look forward to coming back again!
Greens were pretty awful
I mean $30 and the Greeen’s were tore up. Hitting off dirt most of the fairways and there isn’t a cart girl. Course used to be really nice. Doubt I play it again, but it needs to be the prices of Meadowbrook if they’re not going to take care of it.
