Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course
       About
The old Pecan Valley muni has evolved over the years as the successful culmination of work between the Army Corps of Engineer, the city of Fort Worth, and the Tarrant County Water Control District. When the city sold the old Worth Hills Golf Course to Texas Christian University, they were able to fund a deal to buy the 27-hole Benbrook Municipal below Lake Benbrook.
The Hills Course was rounded out in 1981 by Dave Bennett, who completed the addition to supplement this shorter, more wide-open course. The course is less lengthy now but water comes into play often, including the 375-yard 2nd hole that doglegs left around water.

Great value for your $
I’ve played here several times and I must say it’s a pretty nice course for the money
Always a good time
We play this course regularly and each time it's in great shape! Kudos to the groundskeepers! Pace of play was good and the drinks were cold. It had rained quite a bit the night before, so they had closed the range and there was still some puddling on some of the fairways. Aside from those two negatives (which course staff can't control), we had a great day!
Impressive
This course seems to always be in amazing shape. Especially considering the Texas summer can be brutal on the greens around here. It's been 2 years since the last time I was here. And it did not disappoint.
Greens
Greens were a little slow but looking pretty good.
Great Muni
Before you focus on your next swing, give thought to the option the architect provides. Really good Municipal course.
Nice course
Great place to play. Friendly staff, nice fairways greens were in good shape. Easy course to navigate. A couple of challenging holes.
Great pace and layout!
I haven’t played out here in a few years. Pace of play was great, finished round in 3hrs. Layout is always a nice change from most municipal courses but greens were rough to putt on and nearly played it like a scramble 2 putt max.
Rivers course was in far better condition. I will play that course next time.
Crowded, needs work
Understandable that it was crowded on Good Friday, but pace of play was incredibly slow. Too many twosomes that should have probably been paired up, fivesomes that weren’t able to complete holes on under 15 minutes and single golfers not paired with anyone made for long waits at the tee boxes. Greens were bare in many spots and the fairways were in pretty poor shape too.. Course with cart was only about $35 so I didn’t expect a TPC course but it was pretty bad even for what it was.
Amenities closed
Driving range closed, not really any putting greens
Worst Golf Experience Ever
Would not let us drive golf carts, something they did not tell us before hand. Greens were not in good shape, there were patches with no grass, then patches of tall grass. The staff was rude. Rather spend my money on Whitestone, only 10 mins away. I do not recommend this course.
