Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course

About
The old Pecan Valley muni has evolved over the years as the successful culmination of work between the Army Corps of Engineer, the city of Fort Worth, and the Tarrant County Water Control District. When the city sold the old Worth Hills Golf Course to Texas Christian University, they were able to fund a deal to buy the 27-hole Benbrook Municipal below Lake Benbrook.
The Hills Course was rounded out in 1981 by Dave Bennett, who completed the addition to supplement this shorter, more wide-open course. The course is less lengthy now but water comes into play often, including the 375-yard 2nd hole that doglegs left around water.

Greens were a little rough but I enjoyed the round and will return to play again
Freeze
I don’t know if the freeze affected the course but the greens were in poor shape. Fairways were burnt also which made it not as pleasant to the eye.
Hills Course Greens
I like the layout but at this time of the year there is no excuse for the condition of the greens 0n the Hills course. They are the worst in the Metroplex
Ice kill
I’ve must have killed the grass, course is not what I am used to. Greens were spotty and fairways were already dead.
Freeze
I guess icemageahdon really effected “the Hills”. Fairways were brown greens were patchy. I would wait until it gets better. Lady behind counter isn’t friendly either.
Pasture
For some reason we were put on the Hill course and it was horrible. Fairways were like a pasture and greens were the worst I’ve ever played on. Should have demanded a refund. Needless to say will never go back.
Hills course
The greens are in poor condition, and the bunkers are unplayable. Usually this course is kept in better shape.

Greens are pathetic
I will never play this course again, the greens were in terrible shape. They look infected & had dirt on them in some places. They are not being taken care of at all.... I paid $28 to play & feel like that was too much, I almost went back to the pro shop to ask for a REFUND!!!!!
Priced right
Was my first time and thought the staff was amazing however the course wasn’t in the best shape and how it’s designed isn’t the best imo.
For the price it wasn’t bad! But still loved the service and how friendly everyone was there.
Fast greens
Lag putts will be your friend here, course greens are in great shape and you’ll love the fringe around the greens. If your a fan of the Texas wedge you’ll love it here!!
Not awful. Certainly not great.
It is was it is- a low cost round of golf. Layout isn’t awful, but not great. Wouldn’t be bad at all if the fairways didn’t have so much dead grass. It’s like a good tee shot is rewarded with a shot off the dirt.
