About

Holes 18
Type Public
Style Parkland
Par 70
Length 6400 yards
Slope 113
Rating 70.0

This relatively short but challenging course has been strategically laid out in and among some of the oldest oak trees in Texas. The scenic design offers two par 4s and seven par 3s, five of which have been routed between several 100-year-old oak trees. The course designer has left the natural beauty of this rugged terrain unscathed.

This course is fun, enjoyable and excellent for seniors, juniors, and ladies alike. The greens are small, medium-speed, and varying in undulation. Some are two-tiered and contain many subtle breaks. The fairways are tree-lined, extremely narrow, and vary between flat and rolling.

One of the two unique holes on this course is No. 2, a 108-yard, par 3 that requires a tee shot down a narrow, heavily tree-lined fairway to the green. The tee on this hole overlooks the course, the surrounding area, and the largest golf ball in Texas, which is this course's logo.

Hole 7 requires a tee shot to a well-protected, two-tiered green, which is set in the middle of many mature oak trees. This course truly offers target golf at its best.

Getting there : From the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, take Airport Freeway to Loop 820 going South, exit at Mansfield Hwy, turn right, and proceed for approximately .25 mile. The course is located just inside the loop where 820 and I-20 intersect. You can see the golf course from the 820 Freeway.
