What a Gem!
The course is incredible. Great condition, awesome layout. However, expect to play a 5+ hour round. Staff doesn’t really know how to/ won’t regulate slow play. Even with that being said, I highly recommend playing.
Great time along the bayou
Fairways & greens were in excellent shape. Greens rolled true. Sand traps need to be reworked after the recent heavy rains. Challenging course but fair. Great practice facility with comp balls.
Hidden Gem
Nice links course in the bayou country. Pace of play was adequate. Greens were in great shape. Sand traps and water everywhere but pretty wide fairways so a nice test for golfers of any skill. If you get the chance, definitely play this hidden gem!
Windy and one of my best rounds ever
The course is very nice. I just wish there were more like it around the Baton Rouge area where I live. I played well under my handicap due to a magical combination of solid ball striking and great distance judgment around and on the greens. Every part of my game was working which, as we all know too well, is a rarity for most golfers.
Great course
I love everything about this course except for the bathroom opportunities while on the course
Deceptively difficult
Don't let the lack of big trees fool ya.
Between the water and course topography, you could have a very long day if you are not in the fairway. My irons were a bit off on the day I played so I paid for that.
The only complaint with the course is that the bunkers could use some work.
Otherwise, it's a great track.
Great Course - Play It
Course was in good condition, although the overnight rain puddled many of the bunkers. Greens were smooth & true.. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great course overall
Great greens, Great layout, a few mickey mouse holes but overall worth it. Course always has wind so if you're looking to tune up for the British Open this is your course.
PS: Course needs yardage markers or carts with GPS. In all carts
Top notch
Love this golf course. Now that it is a public course, I will be teeing it up there more often. Thanks Golf now and the fine folks at LaTour
