About
Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the links-style Golf Club at Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the best new public golf courses in Texas when it opened in 1987, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes. The course boasts pretty rolling fairways and 18 testing holes all intertwined throughout streams created by Fossil Creek. It's surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes.

Hostile Creek
One of my favorite places. On windy days this place is a beast like it was yesterday! Staff is super and the cart girl was very attentive. Just had my clubs reshafted and was hoping to see how they felt! I. Red to try again when they turn the wind down!
Insane pin placements!
I played Fossil Creek about a month ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the track, I liked that you could not just pound away with a driver on every hole. I felt comfortable on the greens and shot pretty decent, an 82, ( I'm an 11 handicap).
Yesterday, was a whole new story. The greens had to be cut to a 12-13.... or more. My group had a total of (9) putts roll back to us.....30 to 40 feet or literally circle the cup and go the opposite way!!! Never seen that before. Also, I'm not sure if whoever set the pins could have been any more mad at the world. They were tighter than I've seen on most PGA events. ( I shot an 88).
As I really enjoyed the course the 1st time, I have to give it one more try....we'll see.
Solid B+ course
Good golf course around alliance area. Great facility and layout, however course Marshall’s are very rude. Had one chirping at us for not playing fast enough even though we were waiting on 4 group of people on the SAME HOLE.
For the price, there are better courses in DFW but this is still good
Course in great shape
Had another great time playing the course. They are always on time with your tee slots. Course in great shape. Greens are still running a thousand.
Worth a try
So it’s worth a try for the money. Layout is fun with plenty of holes that make you want to test your distance. Pace of play on Saturday was over 5 hours so it’s pretty hard to enjoy a round when waiting in the sun.

Excellent course and fun to play. Look forward to-playing it again now I know the layout. Very nice layout.
Great condition
Fossil creek never dissappoints. Green were amazing and fast, but true and the fairways were in great shape as well. A joy to play this place and the supt should be praised
Nice but hard
This course was challenging for me but I had a great round!
