About
Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the links-style Golf Club at Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the best new public golf courses in Texas when it opened in 1987, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes. The course boasts pretty rolling fairways and 18 testing holes all intertwined throughout streams created by Fossil Creek. It's surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes.

One of my favorite Fort Worth courses
Fossil Creek is a great local course, highly recommended to any skill level
Course is in great shape
I love this course, it’s such a nice layout.
Fix your ball marks people.
Nice course
Nice course friendly people, no drinking water on course. No sand in containers and golf cart ran out of power. ,
Poorly maintained
Nice layout, but very poorly maintained. Most bunkers are just dirt, no true sand.
Course in Great Condition
Course was in good shape after rain the previous two days!
Topped Dressed Greens
Played the course in under 3 hours in the afternoon. It was fun accept they had topped dressed the greens recently and I wasn't informed when I checked in. Not that it would have stopped me from playing but it would have been nice to know before I started my round.
Poor greens
Greens aerated without any notice online and still full price. The “sanding” on them is more like dirt and has clumps that keep ball from rolling true at all. Play elsewhere for now
Course Updates need to be public
Great quality course typically but they literally covered their greens with sand. Nothing putted true as balls bounced all over and there were no updates given to the green/course conditions prior to booking. Fairways were in excellent condition.
Target Golf in DFW
I was excited to try out Fossil Creek. It is popular with my friends in Dallas, and I'm always down to try a new course.
I really enjoyed Fossil Creek. The conditions were solid throughout the course. With a good amount of water in play, and several doglegs, the course demands a lot off the tee. You don't have to hit driver all that often, but you do need to hit your targets. Approach shots and par 3s are similarly demanding. Even so, the course is not unenjoyable for higher handicappers as it's not super long. Many holes require just a short iron or wedge into the green.
I highly recommend this course.
Good Condition for late July
The course is in good shape. Challenging and very playable.
