About
Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the links-style Golf Club at Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the best new public golf courses in Texas when it opened in 1987, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes. The course boasts pretty rolling fairways and 18 testing holes all intertwined throughout streams created by Fossil Creek. It's surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes.

a day at Fossil Creek Golf Club
The staff was super friendly! Course was in great shape. The cart girls came around often to quench our thirsts. Looking forward to the grill reopening.
Enjoyable like usual
Even during these challenging times, we still finished our round in four hours (with a foursome). Their site claims that they will not group you with someone that you don't know, but, they're no longer following that rule, as my buddy and I were paired up with two guys we didn't know. We didn't mind, just letting everyone know that they don't do this. Course is in great shape with the exception of the sand traps, which we didn't play from (no rakes makes rough traps).
Greens could be best in metroplex ... if
Great great great condition !!! Amazing. Greens could be best in metroplex if people would just fix their ball marks! That’s not on the course though. Keep up the great work Fossil C
Good time, great weather
This is in really good shape considering the pandemic restrictions. I can’t wait to get back out.
Fossile Creek
I have played this course numerous times, it has not yet come in all the way. Still a fun track to play though. The fairways were tight and the greens were fast. There were way to many golfers on the course when I played. I do recommend this course and can't wait for the fairways to grow a little bit and the green slowed down a bit.
Still Great
Covid 19 restructuring cations limit the true greatness of this course but it’s still worth playing whenever you can.
Beautiful scenery with a lot of undulation
This course is nestled into some beautiful creek and river beds, which makes it a wonderful layout for golf with a lot of challenges.Shotmaking is at a premium here with small greens to shoot at.

Course too fantastic measures to keep social distancing intact while still being a great experience. Greens were a little beat up but that's normal for this time of year.
Area's Best course.
New Englander...despite rainy weather have played at least 20 times on 2 months. Fossil Creek is in the best winter condition. Greens are consistent
Greens looked like a mine field. Putted like them as well. I and my playing partners were repairing 3-4 ball marks per green. Plus whomever is setting the pins now must’ve skipped training. Putting through the old hole locations was a challenge as well. Glad I had not paid the full regular greens fee. Guess the Iron Horse regulars are playing at Fossil Creek now.
Costly
A bit costly this time of year with dormant fairways and rough needing cleanup.
Great design, fast greens
I assume it was from the recent rain, but the greens were outrageously fast. I've never felt like a worse putter in my life. The approach shots were fantastic though

Good, challenging course without being too difficult. Course is currently in great shape for a public course.
