The Golf Club At Fossil Creek

Course was in great shape the greens were very slick , the scenic views on the course were awesome , ready to go again.

Course was in great condition for July. Greens were very fast and took some time to get adjusted.

This is with out a doubt the best shape Ive ever seen this course in

Always enjoy the course. Well laid out. Faster greens today. One issue: just to the left of the 9th fairway, there was a large grass-covered hole. I stepped in, fell and was unable to complete round. Staff was advised

The course is a great layout. The greens were air rated a few weeks back but they are filling in fine. It does affect some putts though. The fairways are excellent. The sand traps need some attention from what I could see. I only hit into one but you can see the black lining on some of the ones that we passed.

The pro shop guys are as friendly as can be . They always are and I have been playing there since it opened. The cart girl and the grill lady was not very nice or friendly. The seemed to all be short and just not approachable in a service industry that is not good. I will say they probably had a full day because it was packed.

A beautiful day. Windy and partly cloudy. The dark clouds did show up and the wind just increased.

This is a great track. Always has been. They need to take care of this old girl with TLC and she will be just fine. She is still a great place to play. We used the ideal golfers pass and that was like Christmas in July.

Greens are rough and fast. Extremely bumpy and 70% of the fairways were next to impossible to take a divot with. It’s a fun course but the conditions could always be better here

Even coming back from aeration greens were stil fast and smooth and in great condition. My favorite track in Tarrant county. Pace was great for a place of this condition. Maybe due to a weekday but was also a holiday week. Fairways and tees were also in great shape. Rough is definitely a penalty as it should be. Traps were also in great shape. The rainy spring early summer certainly helped. Really good day for a Birthday round.

Course is in great shape. fast but green. third round at FC this year and happy with every visit.

Great course for the money! Love the layout and is pretty challenging. Would recommend to anyone!

As I check in at the pro shop I hear a conversation between two staff members, one complaining about a colleague at the course. No filter. No reason for this type of conversation to be held in front of me, a guest, wide open in the pro shop. Next, I get paired with a retired carnie who tells highly inappropriate jokes. I’m no prude and shame on me for not saying something to him. Both these events took some shine off my experience.

Now for the course. Every Palmer design course I’ve played features a lot of sand. This course is no different. Tee boxes and fairways in great shape. The greens were just punched and sanded. Give it a couple weeks and the greens will be really good. I played from the whites and there are some par 4s and 5s where driver is too much. Having locals direct me on some shots was very helpful. I do recommend the course. Would play it again if ever in Ft Worth again.

Everything is always great. The only room for improvement is staffing a beverage cart when the grill by hole 7 is closed. I understand minimum staffing on slower hot days, but it would have been nice to know to load up prior to getting on the course since you don’t pass the clubhouse at the turn. A positive note is Fossil Creek always has the best greens year around.

I've played a lot of golf here in DFW. Some have better more well kept greens and fairways (And they charge a lot more for it too!) but this layout is just so much more fun to play. You have to use strategy to play this course. The holes are aesthetically pleasing and present different challenges. For example one par 4 has water from tee to green on the right side. There is plenty of room left to play safe but the closer you play to the water the easier your second shot is.

Good tee boxes and the fairways are in great shape. They are tight, which is what I like. Greens were a little fast, but that’s just Fossil. I play this course at least 15 times a year

Excellent layout in great condition!!! Green’ s rolled very well and fairways and Tees were plush. Rough was testing (as it should be) overall great experience for my 1st time! Will most definitely add this course to my rotation.

Love the layout, probably my favorite in the DFW area. Fairways are in perfect condition and greens rolled great
