The Golf Club At Fossil Creek

If you haven’t played this course do yourself a solid and book it and play it ASAP! Challenging setup and a blast to play. A bit slow the inward 9 but we still got it all in before dark.

Overall it was okay for the price I paid on a hot deal, but I don't think I'll play here again. And I definitely would not at regular price. There are better options for the same price or a little more. It hasn't rained in weeks, but the course was absolutely flooded and muddy, and this was at a 2:30 tee time. Pace was very slow. Myself and another person skipped a hole to get ahead of an extremely slow group. No one was at the tee box to check in, and no one to check on pace of play. There was only one cart girl, but she managed to get around 3 times while i played 18. I saw some reviews mention GPS on the carts, but they did not have GPS, and the cart I had quit on me in the middle of the round and had to get a replacement.

Great course in every way - staff, layout, manitenace, pace of play ....... Will definitely play again when in the area.

I've been playing here for 20 years. Last week for the first time this year. Understanding it was labor day, and over 100 degrees I gave come to the conclusion I must lower my expectations on course conditions. I have played 30+ rounds this year, and this course at the beginning of September was one of the top 3 well conditioned courses I've played.

Wonderful course. It is in great shape every time I play here. There are plenty of nice courses around me but I still consider the drive worthwhile. The staff is friendly and the pace was very good, 3+45 on a Saturday morning. For me, one of the best overall places to play in the DFW area.

Poor pace of play in the past but staff seemed interested in speeding people along. Today, 4 hours and 15 minutes for 14 holes. Walked off and found nobody on 18 as we drove in. Upon complaining, staff seemed unaware there were any issues.

Literally the only downside to this place is that you can tell because it’s a public course and it’s extremely nice so people don’t fix divots/ball markers. Everything about this place is phenomenal though!

Caught some overnight rain so cart path only for us older guys. Fairways excellent, greens a bit grainy and tee boxes were not up to Fossil standards...Still my favorite public in area, would have liked 90 degree on back nine...

Played here twice and a week and from Tee to Green the course is in great shape! The greens are surprisingly fast for this time of year. Some risk/reward holes make the layout extremely fun and ball placement key.

Course was in great shape the greens were very slick , the scenic views on the course were awesome , ready to go again.

Course was in great condition for July. Greens were very fast and took some time to get adjusted.

Always enjoy the course. Well laid out. Faster greens today. One issue: just to the left of the 9th fairway, there was a large grass-covered hole. I stepped in, fell and was unable to complete round. Staff was advised

The course is a great layout. The greens were air rated a few weeks back but they are filling in fine. It does affect some putts though. The fairways are excellent. The sand traps need some attention from what I could see. I only hit into one but you can see the black lining on some of the ones that we passed.

The pro shop guys are as friendly as can be . They always are and I have been playing there since it opened. The cart girl and the grill lady was not very nice or friendly. The seemed to all be short and just not approachable in a service industry that is not good. I will say they probably had a full day because it was packed.

A beautiful day. Windy and partly cloudy. The dark clouds did show up and the wind just increased.

This is a great track. Always has been. They need to take care of this old girl with TLC and she will be just fine. She is still a great place to play. We used the ideal golfers pass and that was like Christmas in July.

Greens are rough and fast. Extremely bumpy and 70% of the fairways were next to impossible to take a divot with. It’s a fun course but the conditions could always be better here

Even coming back from aeration greens were stil fast and smooth and in great condition. My favorite track in Tarrant county. Pace was great for a place of this condition. Maybe due to a weekday but was also a holiday week. Fairways and tees were also in great shape. Rough is definitely a penalty as it should be. Traps were also in great shape. The rainy spring early summer certainly helped. Really good day for a Birthday round.

Course is in great shape. fast but green. third round at FC this year and happy with every visit.
