About
Thankfully Fredericksburg offers this facility as a respite from incessant turista shopping along the main drag. While not overly fancy, this little Hill Country course gets the job done while the shoppers in the family spend their days in town.
The Jeffery D. Blume-designed track plays around 6,700 yards from the tips and includes plenty of trees and water hazards that get in the way.
You’ll notice the two par 5s on the front. No. 3 is the signature, playing 523 yards and forcing a shot over a creek, and another over a bluff. No. 5 is longer, a testy 578 yards from the back.
The most difficult rated hole is the No. 9, a 425-yard par 4, but the regulars complain more about the challenging 18th, an even longer par 4 that plays 450 yards from the tips.
Getting there : The course is just south of town on the west side of the highway.

My problem is that. I booked a T time using your app.
The problem was the course had the front nine closed
And had to play the front 9 twice. And for the money it was not worth what we paid.

Great place. Course is well maintained especially in this heat. Smooth flow to course. Challenging.
Hidden Charge
Love the course, but the advertised rates don't include a mandatory GPS fee of $5
Great course. Very fair but still challenging. Greens were in excellent shape. One of the best public courses in Texas. Will definitely play this one again.

The staff was great and the course in very good condition.
Even the deer enjoyed the course.
Been raining a lot recently but greens needed mowing. They were grainy and slow. Otherwise the course is in really good shape.
Ok course
A very average municipal golf course. The greens were in good shape and rolled pretty well. The course as a whole looked dry and were not very green. The bunkers need a lot of work.

Course is in great shape. Very user friendly. We definitely will be back.
Firm & Fast on the hills of Central Tx
While rain threatened, the course played firm and fast. It's quite hilly, especially the front nine, and doubly so the fairway of seven which resembles a ski slope.
I like the course, but would love to see a bit less of the fivesome and sixsomes playing on a Saturday morning. Slowed pace of play.
Greens are as good as any I’ve played
Pleasant surprise finding the course to be such a good layout and quality.
Still recovering
Grass seems to still be recovering, but the course was in decent shape. Playing with a brand new golfer was not stressful due to the friendly golfers and staff. The bar hostess was incredible before and at the turn. We will be back.
A Great Find
Terrific Golf Course, Clubhouse and Staff.
Restaurant had great food options at a reasonable prices. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests.
Lady Bird Fine Course
The course was in pretty good condition considering the Time of the Season December. the tee boxes and the greens were green the fairways were decent although not green but very good playing conditions. overall I was very well please it with a whole course. I will play it again once I'm back in the Fredericksburg area
Real Nice
Drove 1 hour to play this course. People could not have been friendlier. Course was in great shape and beautiful. Each hole different. Cut into the beautiful hill country landscape. Would play it more often if it was closer to our house. Great course for the money!
Worth the drive
Had to drive 65 miles. Nice hill country scenery. Beautiful layout in very good condition. Greens were challenging and smooth. Could have been a little quicker but held a shot very well.
Very fun layout
2nd time to play this course. Wished it was closer I’d play every week
