Best golf course ever played
On 5/23/25 I played mountain branch golf course in Maryland. Although, the pace of play was a little slow due to cart path only, due to rain days before, I can honestly state, this was the best golf course I’ve ever played. Beautiful golf course!!!! And a fair challenge.
Great course friendly staff!
My son and I played this course for the first time. We throughly enjoyed the round. The weather was not great due to a lot of rain this week so it was cart path only but despite that the course was in great condition and we had a great time. The golf carts had the most comfortable seats I have ever sat on for a golf cart. The afternoon weekday rate was under $50 which made it a great value for this level of a course. The staff was friendly and we were paired up with another father and son that were familiar with the course and that made it even more enjoyable. I would recommend this course to my golfing friends.
Great course and value for money
The course was in great condition and is great value for money. Scenic and has some challenging holes. The round took five and a half hours and there were no rangers that attempted to approve the pace
Great layout
Still early in season greens were recently punched so putting was a little rough love the layout drove the green on 16 and 3 putted
Horrible pace of play and Rude staff
Booked a 1:40 tee time for 2 I arrived on time and was given the go ahead we waited 2-5 minutes on almost every hole for the groups in front of us now typically I don’t mind being a little slow but when we got around to the 11th hole we were stalled for almost 15 minutes with 3 groups in front of us waiting to tee off. We tried to skip a couple holes every hole was like that, it would have been well over a 5 hour round so we decided not to wait. I let the staff know in the pro shop the young boy working was extremely nasty asked what I wanted him to do. Rangers on the course to move things along would be a start there were none in sight all day. We won’t return there to play
Gorgeous. And it was only early March
Expansive layout. Challenging yet forgiving. Can only imagine how gorgeous it will be in-season
