Nice course
Payed for an 18 round, but only got 9 holes in as the rains started heavily as we reached the green of the ninth hole.
What's frustrating is that Eagle Hills didn't give us a "raincheck" for a nine-hole round, instead they gave of half price credit of the golfnow promotional price. This raincheck will only pay off only if I use golfnow again. Somewhat frustrating as it shouldn't matter what price was payed for the 18 holes, it should be a straight up raincheck for nine holes during the week.
Eagle Hills
Front 9 is has open fairways.
Back 9 is narrower. (More scenic and tougher)
Overall, course is in pretty good condition.
Some patches on some greens.
Not too long.
Cart staff was friendly and helpful.
Good day great golf. Don't miss the back 9.
Nice place nice staff. Still suffering from some winter kill on greens, more than comparable courses around town. GPS in carts is no longer working but heard they are getting new carts soon! Front 9 is what you would expect for the area, back 9 is a great experience with some very unique and challenging holes, completely different from front.
Hot day
It was so hot on Monday, that most golfers stayed home. I had a great time going at my own pace.
Just another nice course in Nebraska
Played here for the first time this past Saturday. Main reason for playing was practice round for upcoming charity tournament at this course. Two different nines...Front is a little more wide open while back is quite a bit tighter. Played with someone who has played this course several times which was a great benefit due to a few blind tee shots and overall good course knowledge. Course was in good shape with only a couple of greens with some significant winter kill. Pace was awesome for a Saturday morning following a storm. As we were leaving around 1pm noticed about 6 carts backed up on first tee so we were lucky. Only complaint was a very tasty pulled pork sandwich from grill. Was over halfway eaten when I discovered some mold on bread. Brought this to grill managers attn and was offered a free drink but not a refund which I would have preferred. Staff was friendly and overall facility was very nice for a public course, which I have found to be the norm here in Nebraska so far.
Eagle Hills
I was surprised on the poor condition of the greens. Some of the greens were almost unplayable
Great place to play
Very friendly staff-nice course-would definitely play there again
horrible
Pace of play wad not monitored, greens are in horrible condition. They let to many twosome go instead of having them join to become a foursome.
Great staff, fun setup for intermediate
The staff was great, when i got there i mentioned it was my first time and the guy was very helpful telling me where everything was.
For the first week of May I wasn't surprised that the conditions were poor on the greens and it didn't effect my game. If green quality is important give them a call they'll be honest about conditions as they have a sister course Tara Hills that they may mention to try if you wanted better conditions.
The set up was very fun, par 72 with reachable par 5's for me even, yet very challenging. Like her sister Eagle Hills is very accommodating for the intermediate golfer, maybe more. Just as good of a set up as i hoped for. As I mentioned the staff was awesome, plenty of beer carts coming around making sure everyone is hydrated as well as water in coolers every few holes (which i miss seeing, every course needs them) so you'll never go thirsty.
Play it!
Great course
The course was great! Wide open for those that slice or hook. Everything was great until the last 2 holes. They were in terrible shape. But other than that, great course. A lot o fun
Horrible course condition from winter kill.
A fair number of the greens were completely brown and some of the fairways were in poor condition from winter kill. I've never seen greens in such poor condition. Hopefully the course will recover because it usually is in very good shape.
TOUGH CONDITION
Im not sure what happend but they must have had some issues with a disease or something on some of the greens and fairways. There were some greens in rough shape
Good Value
Great value. Course was in fairly good shape, but did have a couple dead spots on the greens and fairways. The front is pretty open and you can miss the fairway without much penalty. While the back meanders through wetlands and woods. Requiring you to be much straighter off the tee,
The nines are different
I like this course. The front is wide open, giving you a chance to score and get your swing tuned. On the back nine you need to be in tune. Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Price is very affordable for a nice course.
I always enjoy this course. It is always in good condition.
I played very early in the season - before the grass started growing. The front 9 is fairly flat and is cut through a residential area. The back 9 has a much more scenic view and is more interesting to play. DIstances are fair and not overpowering. I enjoy the course and usually play well here.
Not bad for time of year
It's a nice course. It was dry and in need of care but it's the start of the season so it was as good as anyone could do. We never saw the beverage cart on the back nine, and that's when people are most likely to want something. Missed opportunity there.
Great deal
Course was in good condition for March. Definetly challenging but not impossible. We had an amazing day all around for our first time out this year! We will definetly play this course again this year.
Fun course
Good day except towards the last few holes it got extremely windy
Great experience with the course.
The course was in great shape considering it was the first day in December...in Nebraska....
This course is a good course for everyone. It has both wide open fairways and narrow approach shots.
Great course would recommend to anyone who wants a fair golf course. Great practice facility and value.
