Winter Creek Golf & Country Club

The course exceeded my expectations...one of the more picturesque settings in Oklahoma and the Georgia grass in the fairways made for an excellent, rewarding surface if you put your ball in play. You will not be disappointed...country club feel for public course price.

This course ate our lunch. It was windy & combined with the fact it was our first time to play. It made for an interesting day. That being said, if I lived in the OKC metro it would be on my short list as a regular course. Lack of course knowledge & not always knowing where to hit it means something. It means the course is well layed out & has character! Were there some bad spots on the green? Yes. Did it matter? No, unless you are tour caliber I would't worry about it. Only had one put all day that was affected by a rough patch. There is only one green that is in bad shape, and that green is so huge it doesn't really matter. If you land in a bad area of that green they give you the option to put it or move it out. Problem solved. When summer roles around this course will be even better. I was informed this was a bank owned property & it was nice to see the bank is spending money on it. They were spraying greens that day. Give it a try, but maybe not on a super windy day & maybe play up a set of tees your first time. Wish I would of!!!

The golf course is very challenging, yet has wide enough landing areas to make it enjoyable for all playing levels. Beautiful, scenic views abound. Greens are well guarded by bunkers, and offer many challenging putting reads. However, the green areas are large. The only thing that outshines this course, is the extremely polite and helpful staff. They really make you feel like they enjoy having you there. I would highly recommend this course to all of my friends!

Overall it was nice. Very good layout, lots of water and fairway bunkers. Staff was very friendly and nice clubhouse. The fairways were nice considering the weather we have had, still a little yellow but that's to be expected. The greens however had a lot of dead spots, which allowed the ball on the putts to jump and bounce. Could use more work on practice putting area that was in bad shape. This course challenges you with different shots, tough pin placements and slopes of the greens. The houses on the course are beautiful and the scenery is nice, it will definitely be an awesome to play in the summer with all the flowers and trees coming alive. Although it seems to be out in the middle of nowhere it is quite and peaceful and definitely worth the drive.

It's early in the year, so yellow grass is expected. Greens need hep but things are looking good for the summer.

This course is the best layout I've played in the Oklahoma City area. Might be one of the best I've ever played. My only disappointment was that it was so windy I couldn't enjoy the course (this is all of OK, not just this course). Very beautiful scenery and surrounding area. Yes, the greens DO have blemishes but they are very playable. The pins can be set on every green so the spots they're working on don't hinder play. The greens also roll very smoothly. There are a lot of bunkers and it is long especially in the wind. I wouldn't miss the chance to play this course and despite some of the reviews about the greens I wouldn't let that deter you from checking this place out. VERY worth it !

Fun and challenging course. Disappointed in the condition and speed of the greens. Several greens on the front nine had dead areas. The speed of the greens were quite slow. This course would be fantastic if it were in great shape. The round was still enjoyable, and I got it at a great price. ($18).

The course overall is OK. Good design and water is in play about half the time. The greens are simply horrible. Bare spots and weeds throughout. Not worth the money until the greens are repaired.

I enjoyed playing at this course but the green are in very bad shape

My wife and I travel during the winter months and utilize Golf Now to make t-times to courses during our travels. We have had some wonderful experiences golfing in most of the southern states, However today was a letdown. We made a tee time at Winter Creek through Golf Now, agreed to the terms, (otherwise you cannot complete the transaction) and drove off to golf.(9:48 tee time). 1st none of the directions were accurate. Tom-Tom directions took us to an Elementary School in Blanchard, I-Phone directions took us out into the country(who knows where) but we eventually found Winter Creek. Gated community. Once we were inside, drove to the club house where there were 5 or 6 cars. We went in to check in the pro shop and one of the 1st things said to my wife is that she would not be allowed to golf, but that she could ride along on the cart because she was wearing denim capri's. Okay to ride, but not swing a club. MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ME. Could we get a refund? No way. You pay, you don't play, but get to ride. I AM ANGRY AT WINTER CREEK AND MYSELF FOR THIS SITUATION, HOWEVER THEY HAVE NO COURTESY TOWARDS VISITING GOLFERS.

Maybe the greens will come back next June or July.

What a pleasant surprise. Obviously a new Course Superintendent. The course is receiving the aggressive attention it needed. The green problems from the Spring wetness is a work in progress and will yield good results. well worth the drive from the Metro.

GREAT STAFF. THE COURSE WAS IN BAD SHAPE AND THE GREENS WERE TERRIBLE.

Third time was not charm for this course. The greens are bad now, and we were not warned of this. One green is shut down and a temp cut in the fairway. I've played here before and was happy enough to come back. Maybe after they fix the greens.

SO SAD THE GREENS ARE IN SUCH BAD SHAPE. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL RECOVER SOON. LOVE THE COURSE LAYOUT. IT IS MODERATELY CHALLENGING. ENJOYED PLAYING IT.

Beautiful course, challenging, with friendly staff. Greens are being reconditioned - but playable. When greens are complete, one of best courses in central Oklahoma area.

The greens were about as bad as I have seen in a long time. We should have asked for a reimbursement. Compared to courses we play on we should have been paid to play there.
