Great course, dry challenging
A few of the bunkers were being worked on, but overall it was in great condition and the staff was friendly and professional.
A real gem
Very nice course! I look forward to playing it again soon.
Fun Links course in the country
Nice well maintained course. Rolling sloping fairways that call for a well placed drive. Greens were large and firm. Was a lot of fun running shots in to some greens with a 3 hybrid and others because of sand traps pitching into green. Staff were very nice as well . Give it a try. It is worth the money. A real gem.
Winter Creek
Great shape for late winter, greens will be better when they get watered and grown in. Fairways in great shape. The course is maturing very well. Spring work will determine how well it plays this summer. Service is very good and food as well.
Course Renovations in Progress
Fairways and teeboxes are in very good condition. Greens are coming along.
Several sandtraps are being redone. But the ones that have not been redone need to be. Maybe they will get to those eventually.
Great Course and Community
The golf is challenging. I would live out there in a heartbeat. Seems quiet and super close to a fantastic golf course. The greens are really coming in.
Great and challenging course
For it being mid-winter, the course was in great condition. I played it multiple times over last summer/fall. They had (fairly) recently replaced all the greens with championship bermuda. They were in pretty rough condition for a while, but it looks like the greens finally recovered and were all in great condition. The staff has always been great. Very knowledgable and very friendly. I normally shoot mid-high 80's on the city courses. I am lucky to shoot below a 95 on this one. There is a lot of water and the greens are undulating. During the summer months the greens are usually rolling pretty high on the stimpmeter. All in all I love playing this course. It's usually not packed so the pace of play is decent. Hopefully they keep the current prices year round.
Outstanding vourse
We hsd a great time playing Winter Creek
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
love the course, very challenging with all the sand and water. you have to be able to hit straight shots. Every hole has sand. i'm not very good but still love playing this course. have yet to break 100, but i'll keep trying
Greens still recovering from years old bad conditions and half the sand traps where the worst and under repair. Fairways where nice for winter conditions and tee boxes where in good shape. Staff was a plus.
Getting better all the time
My wife and I have played this course fairly regularly over the past 8 years. Have seen the course in terrible condition but that is no longer the case. There has been significant investment in the course and clubhouse and it shows! The last time we played there, the course was in superb shape. We love the layout and it is a beautiful, scenic golf course. The clubhouse was immaculate. The entire staff seems very friendly and interested in providing players a great golf experience. If we had more time to play, we’d definitely become members. If you’ve never played here, I suggest you give it a try. I give the course my highest recommendation.
Nice use of terrain around water. Sand traps were the worst. All of them under repair or dis-repair. Greens were a 3 out of 5 due to due to patchy places. Fairways were in good shape for the time of year.
Bermuda Greens
Have been playing this course for years. The introduction of Bermuda Greens in 2017 is fantastic. However, SW Oklahoma historically has been aBent Grass area. Need to start playing Bermuda given drought conditions and heat in Oklahoma. All in all, love the course.
Good shape for winter.
Still in good shape this time of year except for bunkers. Doing some major work on traps and replacing sand, etc. and will be improved next summer.
Tough Track
It's a long course, and the wind seems to always be a factor. A couple of well placed water hazards make you think twice before bombing driver every hole. Challenging.
Good cours
Good course. Beautiful scenery. Challenging holes. Good golf experience.
Veterans Day Play
We took advantage of a day off and played this course. Fairways were in great shape. A few of the greens had some patch work done to them but overall he greens were really good. The greens were firm, needed to be rolled to get them smoother and have a lot of slope to them but not bad to putt. A lot of water comes into play on several holes and OB where there will at some point be a house. High handicapper might not like this course but low handicapper will love the challenge.
Great Course
1st time I’ve played there. Lot of sand, plenty of water & the greens are really quick. Have to think on every shot. Loved it.
Progress is being made
Haven't played the course in quite a while, but it was a treat to go play. The new greens will test you. Some of the greens are superb since the replacement, but a few had some small patches that need a while longer to heal up; nothing too major to not go play this course.
The staff was friendly.
The carts no longer have the GPS enabled touch screen devices. Hopefully these devices will return as the course doesn't have easily visible markers throughout the most of the holes. There are some new stone markers in the fairway, nice touch, but still not enough for no other markers.
If you haven't played this course, I suggest taking the drive. Also, come hungry. The grill/restaurant has awesome food.
