The club has lost its greens and they need work. Other than that, the course met expectations.

the employees are super friendly. The price point can't be beat. So with that said I would go back and play there as a practice round. The greens still need time to grow (not much grass on them) the bunkers were racked out nice.

Just remember you will get what you pay for here. Your not paying much don't except much, But for me its worth what they charge just to get out and swing.

i enjoy going out to Hempstead to play this course, but unfortunately they greens are in lousy condition. Hopefully as the community grows around it, they will be able to improve the quality of the greens..

Course is in fair condition with some greens needing grass to regrow , green speed on the slow side but roll true. I have played course several times and have enjoyed playing with different players every time pace of play is good.

Not even worth the cart fee. The tee boxes were all over grown and the greens had no green on them. You couldn't even use this course for practice it was so bad. People were actually driving there carts on the greens and tee boxes. It was Horrible and i will never go back. Sad use to be a nice little course.

I'VE PLAYED HERE THROUGH THREE OWNERS, WORSE COURSE CONDITIONS EVER.EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE, T-BOXES, FAIRWAYS, SAND TRAPS AND GREENS.WEEDS ALL OVER, BARE FAIRWAYS, NOT WORTH PLAYING WE QUIT AFTER NINE THESE CONDITIONS WILL HURT YOUR GAME, DON'T, DON'T PLAY!! NOT WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY.

I always get behind a 5-some or 6-some. neither are supposed to be allowed. once two small groups tee off they join up.

First time on course & the parking lot was full when I arrived for 11 am tee time. Friendly and helpful staff greeted me and got me going Note If you are a single on a hot deal the course will charge you $5 more for a single rider so hot deal was $17 not $12. Anyway, I understand that but this was the first time a course charged an extra fee. The course was in well used shape, Not much grass left in fairways and the front nine greens were not too good but the back nine were better and actually made a couple of putts. Good layout . This course has a lot of potential though. Its Pretty open so swing away!

Nice winter day partly sunny and moderate wind, course was in condition as expected during winter play. I was paired with a couple nice fellow golfers we had a great time playing together. The greens have always been on the slow side for putting but consistent , some holes do take course management to get around in while others you can let the driver go and give it a ride.

I live within 20 minutes of this place. Great golf & wide open spaces. You never have much of a wait time & the people are kind.

Pace of play is horrendous, and this course has rapidly gone downhill. It is obvious management cares nothing about course conditions any more at all and emphasis is on every $$ they can make. Don’t bother making a tee time as they don’t care, show up anytime and they’ll happily take your money and pack as many people as they can on the course. Tees are bare and terribly uneven, again from overuse. You’d think they’d spend a few bucks on over-seeding tee boxes at least. There were at least five groups with five plus players, two with six and Marshall was invisible. As we made the turn after 2+ hours on the front the first tee was lined up three groups deep. Sad to see the downward spiral this course has taken.

This is a great layout. Every hole has some character. Worth the drive. If the bunkers were in better shape, it would be a really good course.

The course is a good value for the money. Rarely do you have a lost ball unless it is in the water. Some of the greens still need some work but overall they out true if a little slow.

We were behind a foursome that hd no one in front of them. Our round was 4h35m. Each tee box we had 2-3 groups stacked up waiting on the foursome. They were playing the white tees but probably should have played the red tees. They did no play ready golf and definitely took their time looking for their balls. There was a cart with the word Ranger on the front being driven by a staff member but he did not appear to say anything to the slow group.

Especially on a Sunday there needs to be a course marshal to deal with this type of group.

Great course, great friendly staff, great very reasonable price on food and beverages, coolers provided, Veteran discounts and good equipment. As a golf course Superintendant my self, I thought the course could have been a little better maintained. BUT! For their so reasonable play rates, I figure they just can't afford a bigger course staff and equipment. I will definetly be going back thou, because it is a good track and definetly playable.

Don’t expect the plush fairways of the $100 courses, but if you want to work on your game and enjoy the game Legendary is the place. Course is challenging as to various types of setup ( water around greens, fairway bunkers, sand traps, and other hazards). Will definitely be back.
