Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Play Before It Closes
Eagle Ridge is the best course in Ocean County, and offers a really nice layout both parkland/links. The conditions are pretty good considering the amount of play it gets. The unfortunate news is the course was sold and will close down so play it before its too late.
Thank you for the good review!
Good conditions
First time traveling to OceanCty from north Jersey to this 27 hole layout. Great conditions for late march. Plenty of soft sand in the traps as. welcomed. Staff could not be nicer. I asked starter to get me out earlier and he happily made it happen.
Not going to be a destination point though if the rates go up over $75 in season
Excellent course especially the Links 9 which is special.
Wonderful condition, generous greens, and scenic....and they have have 5 tee off options. From the whites most holes reachable in regulation if you hit good shots. Remember golfers...don't just hit from the blue tees so you feel 'manly". The PGA has been pushing "Play it forward": for 5 years now. So if you hit 2 good shots on a par 4, you should be at the green, or left or right of the green....if you are 30-40 yards short after 2 good shots then you are NOT playing from the correct tees. You can mix you tee off areas during you round to ensure enjoying the game and playing from the correct tees.
must play
have not played in 20 years, don't remember it being this nice, love the two wooded courses, the links is good but play the other 2.
Joseph Hayes
Course was great! First time playing the course, and while still in February, weather was favorable, despite wind, and the course was kept in stellar condition for early season play.
Could not ride the fairways
The only problem was that carts had to stay on the cart path when it did not appear that there was a legitimate reason for it. It is a long course with sloping fairways and playing time was about 45 minutes longer than it should have been because of restricting carts to the cart paths.
On the positive side, the course was in very good condition for February, and the greens were in exellent shape and very fast.
Eagle ridge
Course was in great shape for February, greens are a little slow, good challenging layout, Staff is great, I played for 15 bucks! Can't beat that golf now price! ,
Winter golf NJ
Always in good shape. Greens were rolling as you would expect for January golf in NJ. Fairways were mostly dry and in good shape.
Nice surprise
This course is varied and challenging. Very few similar holes. Visually very pleasing. A very good layout and value, especially on golfnow.com
fun course
always look forward to playing as the course has three different 9's.
First time tricky
Built on old trash dump this layout has some big elevation changes. Having some one who has played it before helps tremendously. I enjoyed it, is in great shape and look forward to another round at golfnow pricing.
Get to Eagle Ridge....hurry
I had heard great things about Eagle Ridge so i wanted to try it out.... Great course, loved the layout. Played Pines and Ridge 9s...i cant wait to go back and play the links 9.Top notch customer service from the time you pull up to the time you leave. Pace was good. Cant think of any negatives. Except its an hour drive for me lol. But ill be back
Eagle ridge
Course still in excellent condition but the hole always cut in a difficult position making it a very challenging course
Nice Day at Eagle Ridge
Wanted to play the course for a while and caught a Hot Deal on a beautiful Fall Day. Played the Pine/Links 9s; the Links being the newest at the 27-hole facility. The course was in great shape with quick greens. There are numerous elevation changes and sloping fairways, as well as some blind shots. Need to play here a few times to understand best position off the tee. Nice course, nice views, nice staff make for a good experience.
