Eagle Ridge Golf Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines Course is one of three nine-hole courses at Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Lakewood. The Links and the Ridge are the other two. The courses can be played individually or as three different 18-hole combinations. The Pines Course is named after the mature, tree-covered landscape. It and the Ridge Course make up the original layout at Eagle Ridge G.C. They were built over a sand and gravel quarry that was used to help build the Garden State Parkway in the late 40s. The unique and undulating topography is a result of this. The towering pinelands lend a sheltered feel to the course as well as a challenging element to the game. There are also strategically placed bunkers that come into play along the greensides.

Eagle Ridge Golf Club what a course
We arrived at the bag drop, i gave him name amd tee time. By the time I parked the car, all the bags were placed in the cart. I checked in at the pro shop. The starter kept us informed and explained the course layout and rules. We finished our round in 4 hours. Returned our carts and an employee cleaned our clubs. Courteous, friendly, informative, and knowledgeable staff. Cant wait to return there
Eagle Ridge
Even in the wind the course gives you great day always . Most fairways and green are ready for everyone’s game
Not as pleasant experience as usual
Really love the course, in my top 2 favorite in NJ, and would say top 5 nationwide.
I do prefer Ridge - Links, but Ridge was closed yesterday so had to go Pines - Links and Pines is my least favorite of the three 9's.
Leaf covering seemed excessive. I realize it is Autumn and leaves are expected, but it did seem excessive, especially on Pines. Seems like a there could be a little more mowing done to mitigate that but almost wonder/sense they could be ramping down maintenance because of future expectations regarding the fate of the course...housing to be built on the site supposedly.
Were also never notified at any point ahead of time while checking in or starting, that carts had to be in by 4:30 (had a 1:15 tee time.)
While approaching the tee box for final hole with still enough day light to finish, 2 staff members pulled up and said "you guys are done". Didn't appreciate the way they went about it and denied request to finish last whole. Had we known ahead of time, that may have influenced decision to play there at that time.
I would recommend and return, but my playing partner said he won't because of these 2 things (leaves and handling of carts in at 4:30.)
Great round
I always look forward to playing this course, couldn’t ask for better conditions. The pro shop has everything you need the range is perfect with its bunker for practice with chipping out of trouble. The halfway house was closed but it’s late in the year and midweek so wasn’t really expecting it to be. Will be back for sure.
Very nice course
Well maintained course with some nice views. Friendly staff and a great deal on golf now. Only complaint is no carts on a few par 4s. Overall experience, very good.

As always the starters were awesom git me out quick and when done were right there to ask how my round was. I️ always enjoy the course great track and a challenge every time out. Hope to get a couple of more rounds in before the cold sets in, great day great course
Very nice course
We played the Ridge and Links courses. Both were in great condition. The Links 9 in particular had some really interesting holes. Only draw back was the very slow foursome ahead of us on the front. Looking forward to playing there again soon.
Eagle Ridge
Excellent conditions, fairways well kept, greens putting well.
Rich
This is without a doubt one of the best courses in the shore area. Well maintained, friendly staff, 27 beautiful holes! Can't beat the Golfnow deal.
Great venue
Very nice course... for the price obtained on Golf Now a real bargain... in great shape & a really fun time
you should NOT offer times when there is a tournament on the course, as it is a 7 hour round of golf and impossible to move. such is what happened to me and i walked off after 9.
Too much walking
This course has a lot of unnecessary walking in my opinion.
There are many places where you are not allowed to take the cart off the path. In most there is no reason for it, even if they allowed you to ride along the rough fringe areas, it would speed up the game and make it more enjoyable.
Even once you get to the green on many holes the cart is far away
nice
when i can get on for 48.00 golf now.
.what a treat...excellent staff very friendly to us..not members. greens were rolled nice fairway nice..loved the design...go there an enjoy..i play twice a week all over
nice place while it lasts
eagle ridge is a very beautiful, well-kept course down by the Jersey shore. it is tight and does not offer too many opportunities to just flail away. not very long especially the par 3's. greens with many swales and subtle breaks.
but the course has been sold to a group which would like to turn at least part of the 27 holes into housing. they don't have approval yet and may not get it for awhile but if you want to play this neat little layout you had better not delay.
Very Fun Course
Was very fun, other than a few elderly people rushing me along I had a fantastic time
