About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Golfer Reviews
Hidden Gem
For the price of a round this is a great golf course. It’s near downtown in a quiet neighborhood with some awesome wildlife. Considering the weather which was raining and 40° the course was in good shape. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The course was a bit challenging but will most definitely be back
They Basically Stole My Money- Do Not PreOrder Rounds of Golf
I bought a round of golf for 2 people for about $50, and saved about $5 by pre ordering the round. This was a HUGE mistake. It was wet and raining the day and time of the reservation. I even called them, and they said don't come, just call GolfNow and cancel the reservation. I took 2 weeks to get a hold of GolfNow (It is suprisingly hard to get ahold of them via phone), and once I did, I told them the situation. They called this Golf Course, and the Golf Course told them they were open, so I could not get a refund. DO NOT preorder reservations from here, at least I would not recomend. I don't know how the golf course actually is, it might be nice. All I know is I feel scammed by this golf course.....
Always a great experience
This course is a jewel and a great value, it’s always kept in good condition, the bunkers are always perfect with beautiful, fluffy white sand, we happened to play on the week they over seeded so it was over watered and cart path only, but that’s to be expected.
Overall a great experience
Disrespectful marshal leads to stressful Sunday
I’ve played at this course quite a few times...average course that has made some decent improvements. Now they need to improve their marshals to coincide with the improvements they have made to the course. Outside of the course starter, funny guy with good stories, most of my encounters with the other marshals have not been pleasant. I don’t like the manner in which I have been addressed or spoken to while out on the course. Marshal Bill, or should I say Boomer Bill, is a real character. He began his interaction with me by rudely shouting “hey” and for some reason thought he could condescendingly speak down to me like I’m some backwoods hillbilly peasant. His lack of respect and professionalism was at a minimum absolutely preposterous. He then continues on to egregiously accuse my group of being 10 minutes behind pace when we were in fact about 30 minutes ahead of pace. I might add that the course was playing as cart path only and we still had only been playing for 90 minutes heading into the 9th hole. He then had the audacity to make us wait at the turn and demanded that we let, not one, but two groups pass us by. This delay cost us 30 minutes and caused my lower back to tighten up. The last thing I want to deal with is feeling like I need to rush my shots to accommodate someone who either can’t tell time or do basic math in their head. I’ve never had an encounter like that before and it ruined the round and took away from one of my hard earned Sunday’s!
Marshall needs to pay better attention.
Pace of play is 4 hours and it was cart path only due to the poor drainage of the course. We’re teeing off on hole 9 - 1 hour and 30 min in when the Marshall tells us we are 10 minutes behind pace and need to let the group behind us play through at the turn. Which we did not understand but agreed. He drove off and apparently failed to relay this to the group that was supposed to play through because we waited almost 25 minutes for them to tee off on hole 10 and ended up letting two more singles play through. We finished in 3 hours and 50 minutes total. Just not the quality / treatment you expect when teeing off during prime time on a Sunday.
Pleasant Track
Nice day a Jersey Meadow; greens rolling well.
Think new layout works better with ending to both nine’s
Nice little track!
Played from the “tips” and enjoyed the round. The layout of the course, makes you plan ahead for your second shot, on the par 4’s and 5’s. The par 3’s have their own challenges, too! The greens were a little bumpy from invading biotic species. The practice area is decent, especially the chipping area, although the range has mats and not real turf to hit from. The staff was friendly, but, come for the course not the clubhouse amenities.
New”Jersey” Meadow
The course has been revamped and the practice facility has had an overhaul.
The changes are great. New pitching green, Chipping area that is fantastic.
The pace of play had never been an issue and I’ve always found it to be cordial.
A lot of bang for the buck and if you bring a buddy you can usually get a good price from GolfNow.
Badda book Badda boom- you won’t regret it!
Great for the price
Nice course, well taken care of. Just always overcrowded and slow.
Lots of water
If you play this course there is a lot of water. It was very hot but the pace of play was good. They had the marshal's out to make sure people we keeping up. We stacked only once and that was on 17. If your like me and have a water phobia you will need a lot of patience. It's better to catch during the week when they aren't real busy. They supposed to build a new clubhouse and pro shop so I looking forward to seeing it.
Good everyday course
Nice course, fun holes, average greens. Good for the everyday joe. No real complaints here. The guys do a good job.
Pleasantly surprised
It had been a number of years since I played this course. Being August in Houston, the course was well maintained, & green. The greens are in good condition and fast. Paying only $26 on a Sunday is an added bonus through the GolfNow Hot Deals. We will keep this course in our rotation.
