Jersey Meadow Golf Course
About
Once home to one of the world's largest herds of Jersey dairy cattle, the site is now the Jersey Meadow Golf Course. The course has evolved and changed dramatically over the years, including a major renovation in 2004 that replaced all the greens with Bermuda grass. The layout is routed through groves of mature oaks, providing a secluded feel to most of the holes. The golf course has a classic design that is still a fair test even by modern standards. Water comes into play throughout in the form of ponds, lakes, and winding creeks that weave through the holes. The 14th is a particularly memorable water hole with a creek all along the left side leading to the island green. The fairways are tightly lined with trees and the greens have subtle but tricky contours.

Course has good features
Played an enjoyable round of golf , hooked up with two other gentlemen from Reynosa. With the exception of the first tee which was under construction, the rest of the course was in good condition. Fairways were mowed cleanly and rough was short. For playing on a Friday, this was a great deal on GolfNow. I’ll definitely play again soon.
Great first round
Had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful for a first timer. Hit range balls then started play. Marshall was friendly and fair way and green were in great conditions. Bunkers where white and pretty. Fairways were narrow. All In all I will be back
good course
I like this course, plenty of grass and the greens are true. Will play again!!!
Good value for your money
I have been playing this course for last two years and course conditions have considerably improved since I started (late 2016). Greens and fairways are much better now and I hope they continue to improve in the future. If you get a hot deal, it’s definitely worth playing here. Pace of the game is quite good on weekdays, however, please be mindful that it is super slow on weekends. I would hesitate to play on weekends morning tee times just because it’s excruciating slow. Marshals don’t really push slow groups (that’s probably my only complaint). After work tee times in summer is a treat ($19 after 5pm). A good practice range- you practice on real grass and not mat. To sum up, it’s one of the better courses in area for the money you are spending. If you get a hot deal, go for it! - “For the love of Golf”
Muddy
The course is fun to play, 90 degree rule due to muddy and wet conditions. Some bunkers were under repair.
Golfing in the SWAMP!!
This course DOES NOT DRAIN after rain!
There was rain 2 1/2 days ago yet there was standing water on 14 of the 18 holes! 4 of the holes were basically UNPLAYABLE! Lift, clean and place doesn’t help when you are moving BACKWARDS 5-10 yards to find any dry ground.
The greens were in decent condition and surprisingly fast.
I will not book a tee-time here again if there has been rain within 7 days.
Jersey Village
Good layout....greens was slow but its winter here so maybe that played a part? Staff friendly. Great course for the price and close to my home. Overall I would play there again. Also challenging pen placement. Had fun playing there and that's part of the game.
Drainage problems
I have played here before and all was good. This time there was standing water everywhere. There had not been any major precipitation. Made playing the course difficult and not fun. Employees were great and friendly trying to help a slow group out of our way. Probably should have asked for a rain check. I’ll try them again when there’s a drought!
Very slow pace of play - 5 hour round and we waited on every hole. The course was in great condition but we will not go back because of slow play.
Good conditions
Golf course in good conditions after a few days of raining. Greens are pretty good.
Fun track
Course is a fun layout with not a ton of trouble but enough to challenge any level player. Plenty of bunker guard greens and there are several demanding driving holes. The course was cart path only due to a ton of rain this week but we still had a great time with most of the course to ourselves. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Look forward to playing this course soon when it dries up.
Rained out
It was a rainy day. Still waiting for Golfnow to get me a rain check.
Tucked pins
You sort of had those Sunday pins placement on Friday
Jersey Meadows
Well kept grounds, fairways and greens.. Staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had.
Will definitely play there again..
Father son outing
The course was in great shape. Not too crowded . Plenty of water along the course. Next time I’ll bring my 4 sons.
Good for the money
It was good for the money. It was cart path only because of rain the night before which was a bummer. There were a couple holes that weren’t clear which green was ours, but overall it was fine.
Nice course for the dollars
This is a fun course. Friends and I have played here many times. It has gotten super busy after the hurricane as other courses in the area have shut down. Thus, pace is pretty slow. I had a tee time for two and ended up getting paired up with others and played as a 5some! And there were 3 other groups waiting to start behind the 5 of us. All in the course is good, especially for the price. Just gotta deal with it being a very popular course.
