Golf Club at Cinco Ranch
About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Alright for 50 or less
A couple of memorable holes.
Course needs renovation and better greens/conditions to charge the rates they want during prime times.
If you can get a decent twilight deal, go for it. It’s not a bad track for a chill evening round after work. Also weird though that you can’t post to GHIN from this course.
Thank you for the review. We're glad you had a good experience and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Nice golfing experience
Had a great game. Nice and helpful staff, nice course and great atmosphere
Thank you for the review. We're glad you had a great experience!
Great day at Cinco
Always a fun day at Cinco Ranch. If you've never played it, the course and prove to be challenging. Pays to play with at least one person that can keep you out of trouble. For the money, it's a great value. Greens roll pretty true, layouts are good and there are a number of risk vs reward shots that keeps you coming back. I'd recommend it.
Thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed the course!
Good course, condition of course poor
Whilst the course was nice to play the condition was poor compared to other courses in the area which I also played the days before/after
Thank you for the review. Course conditions have improved greatly. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Good Course Needs Better Upkeep
It’s a good course. Kind of simple but no so simple it’s boring. They course it a little beat up but not the worst. The only thing I complain about is how we were told we were the last Tee time but kept having one person players showing up behind pressuring the rate of play.
Thanks for the 5 star review. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed the course.
Thanks for the review. We look forward to you next visit.
Long waits.
I had fun. Nice course. Not a lot of hidden hazards that take you by surprise. But I spent too much time standing on the tee box waiting for the guy on the fairway--while he was standing there waiting for the father-son duo eating up time on the green. Dad brought no clubs, paid for a single player, then borrowed son's clubs all day. They also ditched me and a twosome (starter put the "four" of us together) spreading out a string of players and slowing everyone down.
I don't blame the club for that jerk's behavior. But I do find Cinco pretty packed.
First of Many Rounds
This was my first experience playing golf in Texas. After looking at several course, I chose the Golf Club at Cinco Ranch. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The course layout was interesting with each hole having it own challenge. There was some elevation changes on a number of the holes along with water hazards. However, the fairways were fairly wide and gave you a great chance to be playing from it. The course was in superb condition too.
The clubhouse is well executed also. The pro shop carried a nice variety of items. The staff was pleasant in all areas, from the pro shop, food & beverage staff, as well as the starter. Overall, a great experience.
Using Golf Now, we paid $65 a piece for green fees and a cart on a weekend. I think that was a good value too. Looking forward to my next round.
Slow Play with no Marshal on a Friday
Although the conditions were dry the course was very wet and muddy in places, The play was very slow and the group behind kept hitting into us. Way overpriced for the conditions. Will not play there again. Corse marshal desperately needed.
Bad cart seat
There were 3 cart left with no windshield and the seat has no cushion on the driver side. Cart needs to be update please.
