About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Great day of golf
One of best golfing day of my life. Perfect weather, great company and a good competition. The course was in very good condition with greens running a little slow
Excellent Customer Service
Golf courses are busier than normal, but the staff here has done a great job at providing excellent customer service while managing the traffic. Kudos for their tee time management while maintaining safety measures for golfers by promptly cleaning carts and not jamming groups on top of each other.
Course conditions were solid and surprisingly, the range was open.
Excellent conditions
Today was a great day. It’s been awhile since I’ve played a course with all conditions in excellent shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all outstanding. The only complaint was pace of play. The foursome in front of us was a little slow. Otherwise, great experience.
Wow
The greens are like a pool table. Just perfect! The staff had a problem with golf now and still got me on! This place is awesome!
Great Course
1. Fairways and greens in excellent condition.
2. It rained the day before and while there was some soggy parts it seemed to drain well.
3. The greens were true and in 1 more day with a cut they would be wicked fast.
4. Course staff are friendly and very helpful
5. Practice range does not have the option of mats which was disappointing considering it rained the day before so it made the area very wet and soggy.
6. No drinks cart on the course
Great job staffn
Keeping everything organized and flowing smoothly. Course in really good shape. IMO all the courses down here are priced above what they should be but Cinco is decent. Pace of play has been surpringly good. Hackers need not apply. Paired up with 3 and none of them could play. Guy said they shoot aariund 100.more like 120. I couldn't even get past the first hole so I went back. Paired up with 3 fine gentlemen and had a good round.

It's been years since I have been back to this course and sure glad I played it again. Course was week kept. Greens were nice and fast. Really enjoy my time here today. Keep up the great work ya'll!
The Thirsty Day
Pace of play was a bit slow: We had a lady/gentleman foursome ahead of us, but it was good to see them playing together and helping the ladies learn the game!

Lack of Food services after 6:00PM
Came I after playing 9 holes. No drinks or food available at 630 because of dance party.. They should keep open outside concession stand when bar and restaurant is closed.
Lack of food and refreshments service.
No food and drinks after 6!!!!! Poor consideration for players till 8:30 that may be hungry or thirsty.
Perfect Day For Golf
The course was moderately busy, but the pace of play was extremely slow. Course was in fair condition for early spring play, and the greens were super fast.
They did get rid of their GPS tracking in the golf carts from the last time I played so that was a bummer. Only saw the beer cart once the entire round so that was a disappointment as well.
Poor service
I booked my tee time as a single and in doing so I figured I would get paired with another person. Instead I was paired with 3 random people that I have never met before. Then as I was also told I would have to share a cart with one of them because they don’t have enough carts. I paid my cart fee just like the other people so I should not have to share a cart. The. I was told that was the only way I’d get to play so I didn’t even bother with this course. I don’t pay to play with people I don’t even know and I definitely don’t pay all that money to share a cart with a random person. First and last time going to Cinco Ranch Golf Club. I’ll stick with Meadowbrook Farms!
